Book a hotel near Lewis and Clark Trail State Park, Dayton

"I stayed two weeknights in a King at the Finch. I thoroughly enjoyed my time. Although I had some trepidation over the doors going directly outside, I felt safe and comfortable. Check-in was a breeze! The gal was so friendly and offered me a wine sample while she completed the check in process! I traveled with a big dog and they were so kind to give him a full goodie bag that included an embroidered blanket, a very cool bandana, a collapsible silicone water bowl, a ball and some waste bags! That was so awesome! There is a lovely patio area near the rooms where you can relax and play outdoor games as well as seating with large shade umbrellas. There are several Adirondack chairs in pairs along the pathway as well for relaxing. By the office, there is the covered fireplace area you can use in the evenings. I did see a large group out there one night which was so neat. The wood and supplies are provided at no additional cost. Parking is a little tight in the alley way and fills up very quickly but there is an open lot just across the street for overflow parking. Downtown is literally a stones throw away. Colville Patisserie is not to miss! I'm still thinking about the lemon tart to this day! If youre on the fence about The Finch, jump off, now! Book it! It's such a cool find! Will definitely return!!"

"Stylish, serene and simply amazing! Dayton is a hidden away gem in the middle of the Palouse. There is no way you’d expect a renovated design classic like the Hardware in this small, rural but impeccably well kept, town The handcrafted cocktail bar, The Bobcat, is icing on the cake. We will be back. We are searching for a reason to pass by this way again simply for the Hotel Hardware Totally Epic! (In a very stylish understated way)"

"My wife and I chose this peaceful, private farm retreat as our base camp to explore the Palouse Falls and surrounding area. Located in a picturesque valley, this home, a cowboy retreat, is comfortable and surrounded only by the sounds made by grazing sheep, cattle, horses, and flocks of geese. Oh yes, and goats, very friendly inquisitive goats. The kitchen is fully stocked; we cooked all our meals. One of them on the outdoor barbecue - not a grill, but a griddle. Never used one before, but I am now looking to get one myself. Dayton and nearby Waitsburg are nice towns. Dayton has an EV charger (Flo) that we discovered too late our stay, but which is very convenient. The next closest one is in Ritzville about 45 minutes away. Our host, Stephanie, was great in her communication with us and made sure we were well situated. We are a retired couple, and loved it here. But if you have kids, they will like it even more."
