My problem with this place is all of the non-disclosed charges and responsibility put on the Guest. Such as, late check in fees, fees for not taking the 'trash out', fees not disclosed in the advertising for the apartment. This should be transparent so you can make the choices before you booked (as there is no cancellation). Couple all of this with the dangerous stairs (rug not safely attached) and a ridiculous policy concerning the definition of a guest (I understand that no guest can stay in addition, but what about a guest who may drop by?) -- what about visitors? The policy should be better defined. Especially, if they are going to insist that you sign a document --- stating that you will have no guest. Overall, not a good experience in what is a great location......
