Great location and beautiful, historical hotel.

Elevator issues during our entire stay. Three elevators, one was out of order the whole time, one wouldn’t stop at the 5th floor and also had issues with the doors closing. Wonderful location - close to the tube, London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abby, West End Shows, museums and restaurants. Staff was very helpful and responsive.

My fave stay in London!

My third stay at this hotel, my third time in London. It feels like home BECAUSE everyone on staff make me feel absolutely welcome and are so attentive. I got a hug from Parvez this time! You have a special place, I will be back! Breakfast on the Terrace is a treat.

The location was exceptional, in the heart of Westminster and an easy walk to major attractions and Covent Garden. The property itself was very tired. One of three elevators did not work and of the remaining two, one would not stop at our floor. There were holes in the drapes and even a couple of holes in one of our towels. The bedding was also not perfectly clean. Expected far better at this price point. I would not recommend this hotel to family or friends.

We have stayed here before and the location is amazing and the exterior and architecture is gorgeous. The terrace is a beautiful spot for a meal or drinks. This stay it was hot (91F) and the air conditioning went out in the first night. No windows are able to open. I asked at 8:30am and was told it was being fixed. We came in from the day at 5 and went to the room where housekeeping had opened the drapes to full sun and the room was baking. I went to the front desk because our phone didn’t work and asked again and was told they would check into it. The halls and lobby were cool. We went to dinner and came back at 9 and it was still blowing hot air. I had to go back down and ask to be moved, which unfortunately meant we had to start packing up when we were ready for bed. This was poor hospitality and service as they never got back to me about the problem I just had to keep returning to the front desk. We were moved to a smaller room although it had a better view.

Definitely NOT quiet. Our room was shaking and lights flickering from the loud music level of the wedding held there. We were furious when they told us just two more hours (midnight). Why put anyone but wedding guests in rooms affected by a wedding venue? Wedding income prioritized over hotel guests. If you value sleep look elsewhere.

Everything about this hotel is exceptional! We were treated like royalty from the minute we arrived with the lovely front desk staff searching for the best room with a view for us to the complimentary bottle of Sangiovese that arrived minutes after we had settled in. We had an amazing room overlooking the gardens with a view of the London eye. Complimentary mini bar and a super comfortable bed meant our four day stay in London was perfect! You cannot fault the staff here for their hospitality and friendliness. We have stayed at The Royal Horseguards many times when we’ve visited London and, having tried other hotels in the same category, come back here time and again for the service and luxury the hotel offers. The location here is second to none. You can literally walk everywhere within minutes! Covent Garden, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben etc all within easy walking distance and, if you need to go anywhere further, the Embankment tube is right across the street! If you have time, please make sure to dine on the Terrace at least once during your stay. It is simply divine on a summers evening, with twinkly lights and, again, impeccable service and food. We’ll be back in London again next month for more pampering and indulgence and can’t wait for another stay at this gorgeous hotel.

The hotel is a historical one in a popular upmarket area. The Door men exceptional. The room we were given instead of our twin room was not 5 star quality. The windows you could not see out of and it did not have a bath tub as the pictures showed. However the bed was very comfortable. They were supposed to bring snacks each night but they did not and I had to ring them for the snacks but gave up doing this as they did not make you feel welcome. When I said our room did not have a bath they othered some bar snacks which was the same they should have brought every night. We did not have breakfast included and when we went to have breakfast after being told by the front desk it would be 19 pounds, the lady at the restaurant argued with us and said it was 30 pounds. They did end up letting us have breakfast for 19 pounds. The breakfast was very nice. On the last day we asked about a late check out and they would allow to 12.00 free of charge but every hour after that 20 pounds. Felt the hospitality could have been better in some areas of the hotel.

Not a 5 star hotel.

Service was poor, only one bar open, no reason given other than, ‘use the outside bar’ - staff were rude, rooms were tired and not 5 star condition, lifts terrible, tried to be charged for services not received, bags lost on arrival far from 5 star. Amazing location and history is the only thing going for the hotel - extremely underwhelmed.
