The hospitality and quality of accomodations were great and I really enjoyed the location of this property. I did think that the hotel breakfast was overpriced if paying separately so consider a built in package when booking if you plan on eating their regularly. I would stay here again.

The check in was shocking. They ask you to do online self check in for a smoother process but when you get to the hotel the machines don’t like it because you have to have a passport. Not helpful if you aren’t a tourist. Room was nice. Fantastic view of the bridge. Bathrooms are old but they work.

Fire alarm on Xmas eve at night and a second alarm on Xmas morning. No floor stewarts to help, found stairwell on our own from 10th floor and no staff directing us to designated muster points outside. Both times waited in the cold without any information on actual fire emergency or fire drill protocol. No fire emergency officials indicating all clear. Guests just followed back in behind staff and still no information provided by any staff or official leaving guests to assume it was safe to return to rooms. If you stay here, request a lower floor and have you shoes and jacket ready.

I usually love to give five star reviews, so this is hard to review. If it wasn’t for the location, the restaurant, and a few members of staff, I would’ve probably given it a one star. When we got there and got into our room, it was freezing. We called down and they said there’s nothing they can do because no one in the rooms can control the thermostat. They brought in heaters for us and blankets. I just thought that with paying this much money for the hotel I would be able to be comfortable at least. The man checking me in was not the kindest person and wouldn’t let our party be on the same floor. I booked two rooms and emailed beforehand that I would like them, at least on the same floor. The location of the hotel is amazing. You walk out and you can see the Tower bridge of London. It is such a beautiful site. The restaurant that is connected to the hotel is very very good. We did not eat breakfast because it was $25 a day per person. For me that was way too expensive. To wrap it up, the location is amazing, but the hotel itself is very old, although they do try and keep it nice. One last thing I should note whenever my husband would go in through the lobby. He always commented that there was a very weird smell. He said it was hard to walk through the lobby at times because the smell was so bad.
