Stayed during layovers at the beginning and end of a trip. Stayed in 2 separate rooms. Both had a strong odor. Mentioned it to staff who said it was probably because they cleaned carpets and didn’t let them dry properly before having people stay in that room. Didn’t make sense or match the smell. Rooms appeared to be clean but didn’t feel clean. On first layover it took 3 phone calls to hotel and over an hour to get picked up, shuttle driver passed by our stop on 2 occasions. On second layover shuttle was very prompt. Staff was friendly and efficient but a very busy hotel so check in was a little slower as only had 1 employee working front desk. Hotel could use an update.

All the staff were wonderful. The building itself is very old and our room smelled like mildew. The AC unit was leaking and the carpet below was wet wich probably contributed to the musty odor. I let the front desk know about the AC unit on my way out, it was too late and I was too tired to call the same night. Only needed hotel for 1 day. Rooms are pretty small.

I responded to the initial reaching out for feedback from the owners of this property thinking they would respond. Since they decided not to, I will share what I said a week ago. Thanks for checking. We would not stay again. It was pretty terrible. Starting from waiting an hour and 15 minutes for the shuttle after our first call. Hair in the shower when we got there. The carpet was wet, maybe from the nonworking AC unit. It never dropped lower than 71 even though we had it set lower. On the ground at the bottom of the first bed there is flooring missing (maybe from the wet carpet), but carpeted over that makes the ground unstable. The screen door didn’t seal all the way towards the top and it was so noisy from the main road. There is practically no countertop space on the bathroom! The positives. The breakfast was very very nice and the breakfast employee was super friendly and kind. The gentlemen that checked us in was also kind. I also enjoyed that there was an exercise room. That being said. The cons for sure outweighed the pros.

The airport shuttle was not prompt. We waiting at least half an hour and my husband has a disability and had to stand too long. Another family on the shuttle had waited 2 hours! Our first room stunk like mold or mildew and they switched rooms for us. We should receive a discount since the new room did not have a balcony.
