DESCRIPTION:
Casa Aralia is a comfortable 2-bedroom / 1-bathroom home, adjacent to the Angeles National Forest, and only minutes to Old Town Pasadena. With an amazing mountain view behind, plenty of hiking trails nearby, and only 30 minutes from the skyscrapers of downtown Los Angeles, it offers the best of both worlds. For a round of golf, a visit to the JPL Laboratory, or a night out in Pasadena with its boutiques and eateries, this property is a well-located space for your holiday.

The spacious living room is furnished with a large sofa, sofa chair, Smart TV, decorative fireplace, and ceiling fan.
The high windows along the wall, and the large glass sliding doors leading to the private outdoor patio, provide abundant natural light. You will surely enjoy relaxing in this space after a day filled with activities!

Bright and cheery, the kitchen is outfitted with a pass-through counter, providing a view into the dining and living areas.
Also included are a gas cooktop, wall oven, dishwasher, microwave, all the cookware necessary to make a lovely homecooked meal, and lots of counter space. Cooking at home will be a charm in Casa Aralia!

To enjoy time with friends and family, the dining area features a modern table with seating for four.

Nicely decorated, the master bedroom offers a king-size bed, luxurious linens and pillows, a television, ceiling fan, and club chair.
The second bedroom offers a queen-size bed with lush linens and a ceiling fan for your comfort.

The bathroom, modern and functional, is equipped with a shower/tub combination.

The property also offers a large private patio area, fully fenced, and outfitted with a lounge sofa and chairs, coffee table, oversize umbrella, gas BBQ grill, and an outdoor dining set that seats up to 4 people. Decorated with beautiful plants, this space is ideal for sharing a meal with friends and relatives or simply relaxing and enjoying the outdoors.

Additionally, all your cutlery as well as tableware are stocked. Basic spices (sugar, salt, pepper, olive oil) are provided for your cooking needs.

PARKING: Free carport or street parking

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT: Check-in is any time after 4 PM and check-out is any time before 11 AM. Early check-in or late check-out time may be available, please inquire about pricing at the time of booking.

Peaceful Stay

This property is exactly as listed, and is located in a very peaceful spot, just a short walk from walking trails, yet close to shopping. Everything was pristine, and the enclosed outdoor space was a plus. Loved our stay there!

A clean, quiet retreat.

The good points are as follows - a very clean property with a well stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable as well as the furniture. The street parking was right in front of the entrance. It is a very quiet neighborhood so anyone planning on entertaining a large group with loud music won’t be appreciated by the neighbors. Things that I would improve are the towels and install protective fencing around the open fireplace.

Great communication with host. Easy check in and check out process. Home was clean, well stocked, and contained a binder with detailed instructions on item location and functionality directives. Welcome basket was a sweet touch. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

Great Mountain Location

Was pleasantly surprised with the mountain stay location. The property is a little out dated, lots of spider webs on outside patio furniture and bushes as you enter the property. Cleanliness could be upgrdaded. Other than these issues the stay was enjoyable. The best part of this stay was definitely the location nestled in the mountains.

Our Son's Graduation Trip

We loved our stay here! It was exactly as described and the online photos were an accurate reflection of the accommodations. Our trip was for our son's HS Graduation as he is pursuing a career in film, so it was a perfect location for venturing out to explore LA and the surrounding areas. It's in a beautiful, quiet location, and was such a lovely place to come back to each night. We also stayed cool during the heat wave. I had a Zoom meeting for work after our checkout time, and one of the property management staff generously made arrangements for me to use another one of their nearby properties for my meeting since late checkout was not available at this location due to arriving guests. It was seamless to communicate back and forth with her, and the other property was beautiful and also very well maintained. Would stay again and highly recommend it to others!

Great Location

Great location, quiet neighborhood, and really nice neighbors. The place could use better curtains, and much more comfortable mattresses. If you like to cook, the cookware leaves a lot to be desired. It's mostly thrift store leftovers, but it got the job done.

Great house with 2 BR for two people but in the fire zone

House was beautifully decorated in grays although basically it's an old house with lots of paint. Well stocked kitchen with staples (would be nice to list them all because we duplicated some). Could add a scissors instead of one of the can openers. The back terrace was beautiful to hang out in (but could use sprucing up). It's only a 3 block walk to El Prieto Canyon Trailhead. Only concern is development's location on a spit of land surrounded by ravines and only 1 road in or out. We'd stay there again! We're 78 and 82 and liked to have our own bedrooms.

Lovely place in the foothills

Refuge in Altadena

We attended a concert at the Rose Bowl and were able to take street roads “home” and arrived within 15 min. Traffic on the street is very low and parking off driveway safe and close. The house is a wonderful combination of old Pasadena/Altadena and every modern convenience. Beautiful and perfectly designed for privacy yet open and saviors. We felt at home immediately -thoughtful touches everywhere and very quiet. Our dog was in heaven after a long drive to find the great backyard. The deck and yard are gorgeous with outdoor sitting. It Took us two days to even realize their was a neighbor in the back!!! A very kind soul w two completely quiet and sweet babies that we were able to meet. We will return!

What a cute little apartment!

This apartment is nestled back in the Altadena hills, in a quiet neighborhood. The backyard patio is a really nice place to get some sun or enjoy a morning coffee. Kate helped us on this trip and was prompt and on time with our reservation. She loved some nice touches, like a bottle of wine, snacks and plenty of water. Very nice accommodations! Clean! Nice private patio complete with grill. Owner/agent promptly returned call when we had a question. Would definitely stay there again. Was welcomed with a small welcome basket of thoughtful items i.e., bottle of wine and snacks.

Filthy furniture and loud barking dogs

The property is not as pictured. The couch is so filthy that I couldn't sit on it. Chairs were filthy as well. The hot water heater is not bolted, as required by CA code. The floors were dirty, with crumbs and debris all over. There are 3 loud, big dogs that are kept outside-- just across from bedroom window. They start barking at 4:30 or 5am and continue all morning. Not pleasant.
