Great price, good for one night and clean. Staff were not welcoming. They answered my questions with reluctance and it was clear that they hated their job. I asked for a paid receipt to verify that we checked out at 9:00 to avoid late fee. Their response was to check the email however I didn’t receive an email upon checking out and I’m still waiting for it

I thought staying here was going to be“roughing it”, with no elevator or front of house staff. Instead it was just like having a little apartment in Chelsea! I loved the location even though there were some noisy party nights, outside. The room was quaint with nice decor, high windows and a good bathroom. The temperature was good and there were even snacks at the front desk.

This “hotel” isn’t really a hotel, in the formal sense. While there is a person on-premises, there is no “service”. No room cleaning (unless you want to spend $35 a day), no real front-desk staff, and no storage for your bags if you have to check out, but still have things to do in the city after 1am (you have to go online to a different company and reserve a spot for $1 per hour, per bag, and walk your bags there). Apparently this is due to COVID?? Meanwhile, no one is wearing masks, no hand sanitizer in sight, no other sign of any COVID issues…. This is clearly a cost-saving/profit maximizing policy. My room was THE SMALLEST hotel room I have ever had in my life - and that includes hotel rooms in Paris (for those of you who’ve been there, and know what I mean!). There was no bedside lighting - or outlets near our bed. And the furniture in the room was cheaper and flimsier than the crap furniture you see at Wal-Mart. Really cheezy. On the bright side, there was a tiny fridge, a microwave and a tiny coffee machine (with 3 paper cups and 2 Folgers coffee sachets - but no creamer or sweetener - so I hope you like your coffee BLACK, cuz that’s all you’re gonna have). I couldn’t believe they charge $300 a night for this place. Do yourself a favor - stay at a REAL hotel, with a staff and amenities - because this place IS NOT a hotel. It’s a room. That’s it. And not a very nice one, at that.

This is a glorified hostel charging hotel rates. No staff, no services, no elevators, and a shared bathroom! If they charged hostel rates it would be amazing, but at what they charge this is a huge rip off and I would definitely make sure you know what you are getting yourself into before booking. The check in process is also convoluted and requires you taking photos of your ID and credit card and sending it before arrival to obtain codes to all the doors. Definitely not worth the effort…
