The bathroom was pretty bad. Damaged walls and mildew smell.
A cat crapped outside the room door.
For just $200 more I could have stayed at the Moxie. Clean, new.
Won’t do that again!

Overall , it’s good place to stay, everything is close, tube, shops, restaurants and market, but the place doesn’t look like how the pictures are. The place looks old. Sharing bathrooms. The staffs are friendly.
Positives - fabulous location next to subway, Chelsea and the High Line. Good price compared to other options.
Negatives - window blinds broken (no improvement in 6 years), tired decor, mattress awful (it was sunken in the middle).
Overall, a good option if you're on a budget but it comes with compromises. I wish they'd invest a little in the property and it could be so much better (please change your blinds so light can come into the rooms).
The property was relatively clean. It was overpriced but lower end for Manhattan. The room, furniture and bedding were worn out and were cheap. There were holes in the walls, missing fixture covers, non-functional outlets, and wifi not working. bed was barely holding together and bedding was synthetic and piling. I had alot of issues with my fight and management was totally unbending. Saying I would have to pay for the stay and would not adjust dates or provide a future credit if my flight was canceled. I wouldn’t stay here again.
Old and tired. The owner of this building has clearly not reinvested any profits into its upkeep. The photos on booking sites must be 10 or more years old. Staff were nice but awful building, beds and bathrooms.

The location of the property is excellent, subway just around the corner and overthought rooms are small, they are quiet and clean.
The location was great. The staff were also good. We didn’t interact with them much but they let us check in early, which was nice. The rooms themselves are pretty yucky, no bugs or anything but a cheap room a good place to stay in a pinch if you are concerned with budget.
It is clean and good value enough for the cost.
But things could be improved like cleaning the toilet and throwing unwanted toiletries away. Allocating low level for people with big luggages as it has no elevator.
Overall it is good enough for solo trips and not if you are traveling with family.
Our room had a queen bed and we were three, so they gave us a foldable bed for one with no problem. We did the check in early with no issues. The manager is really nice. There are two bathrooms in each floor and were very clean. There was a very cute cat that came into our room frequently. They have free umbrellas for 24 hours. We lost one of our keys and the manager gave us another one with no fee. Very good location and good price. Everything was easygoing.
