I SELECTED THIS HOTEL FOR MY STAY B/C I NEEDED A HOTEL ROOM LARGE ENOUGH FOR 5 GUESTS, IT WAS RATED 4 STARS ON TRAVELOCITY AND I FELT SAFE IN THE KNOWLEDGE THAT THIS WAS A WYNDHAM PROPERTY. THE TROUBLE STARTED THE DAY EFORE MY TRIP WHEN I RECEIVED AN EMAIL THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH MY CARD. I CALLED IMMEDIATELY TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE, I WAS HUNG UP ON 6 TIMES BEFORE SOMEONE PICKED UP THE PHONE. THE CLERK WAS RUDE DURING CHECK IN. WE ARRIVED AT THE HOTEL AT 12, I WENT UP TO THE DESK TO CHECK IN AND THE DESK CLERK SAID “YOU CAN’T CHECK IN IT’S ONLY 12 AND CHECK IN IS AT 3, BUT I CAN TAKE YOUR NAME AND CC”. I TOLD HER YES, THAT’S WHAT I MEANT BY CHECK IN. EVEN THOUGH THE CLERK WAS RUDE AT CHECK IN ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO CHECK IN AT 12:00PM (A FACT THAT I KNOW) THE ROOM WAS NOT READY AT 3:30 WHEN WE CAME BACK AND WAS STILL DIRTY WHEN WE WENT TO THE ROOM. THERE WAS HAIR IN ONE OF THE SHOWERS. WE CALLED THE FROM DESK TO LET THEM KNOW AND ATFTER 15 MINUTES SOMEONE SHOWED UP. THEY HAD TAKEN SO LONG ONE OF MY ROOMMATES REMOVED THE HAIR HERSELF. WHEN SOMEONE DID FINALLY SHOW UP HE DIDN’T COME WITH ANY CLEANING SUPPLIES. DON’T REALLY KNOW WHAT HE WAS GOING TO DO WITH NO SUPPLIES. THE ROOM ITSELF WAS IN NEED OF SIGNIFICANT REPAIRS. THERE WERE HOLES IN THE WALLS WHERE THE BUNKBEDS HAD BEEN MOVED AROUND. THE CUSHIONS WERE DINGY, AND THE FURNITURE HAD PIECES BROKEN OFF OF IT. AT CHECK OUT WE ASKED FOR THE FRONT DESK TO CALL US A CAB (IT WAS RAINING) AND SHE SAID NO.

I was taken aback when I requested an early check-in of 11:am and was told I would have to pay an extra 50.00 or book a room for an extra night. There were rooms available for the check in but I still had to pay them the $50. The next day I checking into the hotel next door at 11am and there was no early check in fee. The hotels are always looking to squeeze as much out of you as they can. I will not be booking the Tryp hotel again.

What an adorable small Hotel. The staff was SO NICE and our rooms very comfortable. The location is amazing! We went to see a Broadway show and it was such a short distance to walk to everything. Would definitely stay here again.

Was way to small of a room for what i paid. I understand its NYC, but still overpriced. No water pressure for the shower. Shampoo/conditioner/body wash was empty. Shower was dirty. Barely any tv channels to watch, never did see an ice machine either

My kids loved the bunk beds although the regular beds were very uncomfortable. The room was clean but the condition of the furniture was awful. The chairs were stained and the dressers chipped, scratched and worn. The toiletries were lovely but were only replaced once in our four day stay. The concierge was rarely on site and the front desk was not particularly helpful or friendly.

Good hotel in walking distance to many NY sights. Close to the subway as well. All hotels in NYC are pricey, and rooms are small, but it was clean and comfortable. Valet parking garage is across the street for $45 per day, but has no in/out privileges, so it cost's $45 each time you park. (That's pretty standard for all lots in NYC). It's nice that they'll hold your luggage until you can check in. Our only complaint was that our room was facing the alleyway in the back and they were doing construction at early hours of the morning. Overall a good stay.
