Honestly, the worst trip I’ve ever been on. I cannot explain further. The room wasn’t even ready at check in time. The Wi-Fi doesn’t work. It’s dirty. The staff is useless all in all one of the worst experiences of my life hotel stay I genuinely can’t believe that it has three stars

No. The MTA train is two lanes from the building. The clerk demanded a $50 cash payment to check-in at about 1:30 PM. She was kind enough to allow us to wait in empty concession/bar styled room. The pictures on the advertisement illustrated something completely different than the real hotel. A complete dump!

The hotel is on a highly trafficked street close to an intersection with two gas stations. The hotel could be better with a little effort. The location is close to many good restaurants and bars. The A train is nearby. Great for JFK and getting into Manhattan. The 4 and the 5 not far away. The bath mat had stains that meant it should have been thrown out. Some lights didn’t work in the room. It’s not terrible, particularly for the price; however, it’s definitely’under-managed’.

This hotel was redone at some point to make it modern and nice. Unfortunately the current owner has not maintained it and most of the fixtures are now broken. The window to the street was so filthy i could not see out of it. The sheets and towels were dingy. almost every fixture attached to the wall was damaged or pulled out. The location is OK but I did not feel good about my stay here.

Don't let the photos fool you. TBH is stretching the definition of "luxury" to the absolute extreme. Dark, dingy, no staff onsite, an unmanned security desk next to doors which remain unlocked after midnight, paper-thin walls next to guests who were loud late into the night. The official website (brooklynhotel-nyc.com) purports to have a kitchen onsite run by two chefs with Michelin-star backgrounds, though it now appears to be permanently closed. The only vending machine is out of order. My room had stained towels and bedding, and the hose to the handheld shower head was rusted and broken open, spraying everywhere. But hey, for all its faults… is it at least convenient? Also no! ~6 minute walk to the A, but a 10 minute walk at least to hit the outskirts of the truly walkable parts of Brooklyn. The best I can say is that it had a bed. My travel plans changed such that I had to fly home a day early. I wasn't sad to leave.

The outside of the building looks terrible and when I saw the lobby my immediate reaction was to think that I made a poor choice. However, the room was quite nice. It looked like it had been updated recently. I applaud management for concentrating of the condition of the rooms because that is what is most important to me.

The place looked very modern and chic, however some things were not the cleanest, such as the towels and sheets. They looked very old and dirty. The bed sheets didn’t cover the entire mattress either. Staff was friendly and nice. However, it took a few calls to get more towels up to our room. The location was good as it between JFK and manhattan.

Do not be fooled.

This place is an absolute dump. Do not be fooled by the photos. That was apparently all pre Covid. The hotel is completely run down, broken doors and disrepair everywhere. The elevator is sketchy and the inspector sign says “CEASE USE.” We checked out early and trying to get a refund.
