The staff, cleanliness, bed, and security within the building were very good. The bed was comfortable, toilet, sink and shower areas clean, and I found noise generated within the building to be at a minimum. The water was at a scalding temperature all the time while signs hung in the shower saying limited hot water - while using the toilet and then shaving a half dozen guys would shower and the water remained scalding. I presume the water is kept by management at such a high unusable temperature to limit it's use which I found both unsatisfactory and unsafe. Also, outside the property there is so much noise that will be heard within the building if that is an issue for you. Homeless and drug addicts are outside this property on both sides of the block however, I personally did not have an issue with that but, be aware. This place is well located to many restaurants, bars, events, and clubs / venues which seem to run until the morning hours and seemed to be well sought out.

Great place to stay on a budget

I was in NYC for 2 nights for a few meetings and didn’t want to spend a ton of money, so I stayed at the Nolita Express. It’s not fancy, but it’s great “bang for your buck.” You get a simple, clean, small, private room. There’s no ceiling to the rooms (I’m assuming due to zoning laws), so you can hear your neighbors snore/make noise, if they do… but I generally found it to be pretty quiet. Plus, they have earplugs at the front desk if you want them. The bed itself is small and not necessarily the most comfortable, but again, not bad given the price. The common areas, including the bathrooms, are surprisingly nice and clean. My only complaint is that the shower was quite hot and difficult to control the temperature on. Aside from that, it was all better than I expected. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly, well-located place to stay in NYC, this is a great option. I would definitely come back in the future.

The check-in process was virtual and convenient. The luggage could be stored in the storage space they provided post check out . The foyer area was large and spacious particularly in the ladies floor with very comfortable furniture to lounge around, eat , work . Highly recommend Nolita

Two night stay. Great for the price. However, your experience will depend upon the people staying in the rooms around you. There are no ceilings, so you hear everything. 1st night was rough. Person behind me was snacking and vaping. It was noisy and smelly. Person in front of me was talking on the phone at 12:30am. Second night was better, but noises still woke me up.

Nolita Express Experiment

My Stay was OK, served it's purpose one night stay. It was an experiment and the location was close to a business fair. A little stuffy and warm too! Noisy truck traffic.... double pane windows would help. The beds were short I'm 5,8 ft and my feet hit the wall. Mattress old and little support.

Female -solo. I’ll pass….

Please read before you book. I am a 40-year-old solo traveler and a female. I wanted to save a little money and I’m okay with roughing it out but let me tell you this takes the cake on roughing it out. I do have to say that the management is superb. The check-in is very easy and quick. The instructions are very simple. On the third floor is the woman’s floor and on the second floor is for the men. The rooms are extremely small. They fit a small cot and you have a little light fixture and a hook. You do have an outlet. You have a communal bathroom with three showers. You need to bring your own stuff because they don’t have anything but earplugs and to cover your eyes. There is a main area with plenty of room and space for computer work and etc. the problem is no one follows the rules. It was impossible to sleep with all the people coming and going. People receiving phone calls, having their alarms and snoozing their alarms and then having their alarms go off again and again and again, and if you are a light sleeper, this is NOT for you. You will be woken up plenty of times even with earplugs. There is always a dim light on. It is located in Noho. The amount of Uber money I spent to and from amounted to the exact as if I would splurge on a hotel. We also had a fire. Management did excellent with hitting the fire alarm and evacuating everyone, but thanks to the genius that put his T-shirt on top of a light fixture.I’m glad I had this experience. Absolute NO for me.
