Easy and convenient

It was a good stay. They were able to put us up in a room at ground level. My friend has difficulty with stairs and that is very necessary. We got in late but they understood and got us checked in fast.

Dirty floors. cob webs in corners and around lamp shades. Pool not certified for guest use. Could not even sit in the pool area. Were not allowed promo points on 15 day stay because we used a third party to make the reservation, Given a basic room. Couldn't even get a second chair brought in for my wife.

Nice enough, the room was OK and quiet. One thing about this property: on checking in we were told we were down a quarter mile to the south just beyond the old 'Muddy Rudder' restaurant. I suppose the Best Western bought out the old hotel behind it, probably with as many rooms as the other property next to the office. Thus one had to drive to go to the office area for breakfast, the swimming pool (which was closed), and to check out. A bit inconvenient, but the price was good regardless.

This hotel was supposed to have a swimming pool, this was the reason I selected it. But when i arrived the receptionist told me there isn’t one anymore. Pete even told me that they’ve asked to have the “pool” feature removed from the property description but it hasn’t been done to date. we were supposed to use the pool and lounge there for many of our days. In addition to this, our room was in a separate building that we had to drive to, which had no elevator to use for our luggage,and the building/room keys constantly deactivating leaving us stranded outside of the building in the heat waiting for people to come let us in. This was a HORRIBLE STAY.

When I arrived the receptionist was showing a co-worker something on the computer. Fine. But when she was done they continued to chat for a minute about staffing before turning to me. In the room the TV didn’t work and when I took a shower there was a used washcloth on the shower rod so obviously cleaners were not super diligent. It was cheap, quiet and beds were ok. Not perfect stay but maybe they were having an off day.

Horrible overnight stay.

Booked a two bed room, got a King size bed. check in took more than 45 min, since there is only one person working at the desk, and that person could not communicate in Spanish with a previous client. Check in counter (around 7pm -8 pm) was so hot and warm, that I notice that the AC (split unit) is not even on. About the room, when we get into the room, a massive mildew or mold odor came to us when we open the door. It seems like the carpet was wet, and they try to dry it up with the AC on. Mildew and mold was noticeable all around the bathroom area tub, toilet and bathroom walls and ceiling. Carpet in the room area seems wet, and it was not dry enough causing that strong odor. We only stay for 1 night, and try to mask the mildew odor with cologne, febreeze and bod powder. All in all not a pleasant stay for me and my wife.
