Upon check in, a $150 hold was required, this was not noted on the site. Not a huge deal but more than normal Hotels. The lobby is pretty and smelled great. They have fresh cookies out. The area you pull into has an outside lounge area which is nice to wait for friends or just relax. We didn’t go to the pool area. There are many restaurants and bars near by within a 1-2 min walk and the main downtown street is a couple blocks away. The front desk was not helpful, as their site said about Trolly information. It does not stop by the hotel and the gal just kept saying it’s at the pier. I was asking if it takes you from the hotel to the pier because it’s quite a walk and uphill on the way back. While walking around I found a trolly sign that was a couple blocks near by, they should be educated on this since their site says ask the front desk. Parking is first come first serve and low overhead. I got a space but it’s TIGHT. There is street parking but not a lot. We were in a room facing the freeway and there was two windows so when closed, we could not hear the noise at all. The room was good, carpet so that’s kinda yucky but it’s ok. Nice shower but no water pressure, at all. Overall it’s a great location, my friend and I felt safe, it was comfortable and we slept good. I would stay here again.

Initially our staff upon arrival were blah. No personalities at all. The staff member that was working on our last night was amazing!!! Our sink was clogged, tv didn’t work (but the staff member got that fixed).

Good place to stay when things work.

Room was clean. The WiFi was down the entire time. The elevator was slow, so don’t be in a rush. It worked fine and the people were very nice. Close enough to walk tot he beach and plenty of nearby restaurants.

I stayed one night with my family, I rented two rooms for a total of 7 people.The property is located close to downtown and other businesses. The property has cute decoration and the rooms were comfortable and it was nice it had separate rooms instead of 2 beds side by side like most hotels. The only downside was the shower gel bottle was empty (which should never be the case when you are just getting the room), the coffee bags with sugar were opened and lack the straws and some sugars, barely any coffee in the room as well. The price seem way higher for the competition hotels and compared to others, this hotel has a later check-in (4pm) and earlier check out (11am) and if you wanted earlier check in have to pay $50. I felt the money we paid per night didn't do justice. There were lots of cleaning staff in the hallways during our stay, which allows me to think, they could turn up rooms for earlier check in. The pool was cute and very clean, however you can see is an older property and some areas are just going to need to be fix or replaced.

Looked promising but nothing worked

Paid extra for the jacuzzi tub room and it didn't work. Tried to make the best of it and use the jacuzzi on property but that wasn't working either. Told the front desk and was just told sorry it should be working. Lastly tried to watch TV to end the night and the tv did not work either. Should have stayed elsewhere for the price.

Wonderful area, extremely walkable. Easy trip by Amtrak for a getaway. Deluxe room with ocean view was great. Property has a few issues which can only be described as a tad... odd. Front desk staff were mostly friendly, but none seemed to have very good customer service skills. Almost like they were never trained. The pool is hard to find because of poor signage. It's nice, but there's a huge dumpster like thing filled with old cushions. Again, not enough to ruin a trip but, strange, and makes you feel as if the property isn't being cared for. Finally, the shower (which clearly had been recently renovated), CREAKED so loudly, with every little move you made. And sometimes smelled funny. Obviously a construction flaw, but again... gives you a feeling nobody's really managing the property well. Probably wouldn't stay there again.

Good vibes, good location

Best part - the staff, and the air conditioning! Overall vibe is chill, friendly community! The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring San Clemente. Worst part - someone tried to steal my bike in the parking garage while my bike was locked in the bed of my truck. No fault to the hotel, but be mindful when storing anything down there! The rooms can use some upgrades - but overall it is a nice hotel and I will stay again if given the chance!
