"First off I'd like to say we love this place and have been many times. This time was mixed reviews for us. First and foremost is the staff, 100% the best people work at the Mia. JC has to be the best waiter on the island, but many others need a special mention, the entertainment staff is very friendly and awesome: Saul, David, Geo, Kimberly, Naomi and Janny!!!! Jerry and Kimberly in the buffet, everyone at the blue moon lounge. I can honestly say it's the staff that keep us coming back. We had considered membership several times but with the cost of airfare from Canada, it just isn't in the cards right now. The biggest issue we have is the lack of upgrading to the rooms, the beds especially, the staff goes a long way to keep you happy, but it's not great when you have no choice but to sleep on mattresses that need to be replaced. The wooden stairs entering the ocean are covered in slippery seaweed and algae and half covered in astro turf, there are many broken lounge chairs... things that seem very easy to fix that would make this place a 10 out of 10. The maintenance staff are great and work so hard fixing so many things, it seems that money just isn't being spent to upkeep the basic things that would keep this place it peak condition. We generally love the beach here also, but this season there was quite a bit of the brown sargasm seaweed so the things you let go because of how great the staff are and how beautiful the beach is, you notice a bit more. We will return."

"I would recommend staying there it’s across from the beach has a restaurant on property. Rooms were clean pool area was nice with lots of tables to sit at and lounge chairs . Pool was clean . On negative side no elevator and it’s a 3 story hotel. And although each room had a balcony the 3 rd floor room balcony was cover in pegion dirt and you could not sit out on it. But over all I would definitely stay there again . "

"The hotel was incredible we will certainly be planning a return trip in the future. The food was absolutely incredible, particularly breakfast and lunch. The breakfast buffet is luxurious with the perfect blend of classic breakfast items, a beautiful fruit platter and classic Mexican dishes. Lunch you can order to your sun lounger or go to the restaurants. The poke bowl, pork tostones, chicken burrito and prawn tacos where some of our regulars and were always delicious. The staff were attentive and would always go the extra mile. Karen and Karim were both standouts for us and they really made you feel special weather it was there attentive nature or just their genuine interest in conversation. The drinks are also great, The mango margaritas were particularly exceptional. We honestly had the best time. The rooms are beautiful and bed was super comfy. My one very small criticism is there is nowhere to hang bath robes or clothes you want to steam (there's a steamer in the room) we ended up hanging clothes precariously on light fixtures but that was a very very small problem with an otherwise perfect room. And any issues you have the front desk are always willing to help and fix them for you quickly. We had problems with plugs in the bath and sink and were both fixed within a few hours. I'd suggest some small hooks in the room that would really help the functionality of the space. Ultimately you will not regret coming here it is a peaceful paradise."
