Room and beds cleaned. No complimentary tea bag’s or sugar. Initially given a double bed instead of twin beds as requested however these things were sorted. This hotel is not easy to get to from Stansted Airport. We found we had to get taxis to the ABBA venue and back

I stayed with my wife at the room with riverside view the weekend leading up to Christmas. The room is beautiful, however it was very obvious that it had not been cleaned prior to our check in. All the counters had very visible dust and stain on them, the bath tub was stained. It is not what you expect when you travel down 3 hours to spend your mini moon at a 4 star hotel. The customer service was astonishingly poor. There was no warm welcome; just a straight face checking us in and handing us our room key. I am not sure if this was a one off situation; however it ruined our mini moon for us and we would not consider staying at this hotel again.

Unfortunately the steam is probably the worst I've been to, there was a draft which resulted in the steam not lasting for 3 minutes and not warm. Also the sauna wasn't working. The dinner menu didn't have a vegan or vegetarian option and was was very basic. The room was nice, but Coventry City FC were staying and I believe they had better river views on the 3rd floor as we were stuck in the corner with views of apartments opposite. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice for vegan, vegetarians and cooked options.

Actually quite a nice hotel - comfortable and classy rooms. I lowered my score because I was billed for an expensive breakfast that I'd in fact declined at check-in. Despite my complaint, the hotel declined any gesture of goodwill. The price of that is a poor review, unfortunately.

There was no wrags in the rooms to shower with and there were no body wash soap in the shower section in the bathroom. I paid extra money for early check in and the room was not ready. It was disappointing but I didn't have enough time to request anything because I had plans I needed to tend to.

Car park needs to be improved (it's Tiny) I had to park on Stackers in a tiny space to manoeuvre, you could easily hit other cars it's so small, for such a big hotel they need to improve that car park space to include more cars, the hotel is suited near other new build residential properties and the car parking areas around are private unless you kno where their car park is you risk getting a £100 fine just for parking in a private space so beware, it's £30 a night for parking too, guessing it's so steep due to being in Canary Wharf The electricity within the room went off it was pitch black took 10 mins for them to get that sorted, the room was lovely, shower was nice you had a choice bath or stand up shower Breakfast was night self service Needs a bigger tv in the bedroom (the position of her bed is slanted) so neck pain just to watch the tv and it's tiny but overall the room is lovely, the price is a bit steep for 1 night though
