It's a pretty noisy location overall (at least on the side of the building in which we stayed). A decent amount of road noise, and an infrastructure that allows you to hear door slamming and people talking in the corridors. Room was ok, if a little beaten up and outdated. Free breakfast included some hot items and something for everyone, so that was a plus. Hard to know if other sections of hotel are less noisy, but you can't really know when booking online.

Overall things were in good condition in the room was very large. I didn't like thermostat not going below 68° even in the cool fall weather, but after a few calls to the front desk they came and fixed it. Toilet paper holder in the bathroom was missing but the curtains coveref the windows without leaving an annoying gap leaking light in. There's really nothing in the area to walk to.

Room was ok. Breakfast good. When checking in being told they didn’t have any more king beds when I paid for it weeks ago was upsetting. Even more so was the front desk person who really couldn’t have cared less and offered to compensation for the screw up after my wife and I drove five hours to get there for her birthday.

Very disappointed in the Hampton inn On Staten island ny. I’ve stayed there dozens of times. The Hampton inn on Staten Island was always a nice cheaper alternative to the Hilton garden inn that shared these same property and owned by the same family. Now the Hampton made an agreement with govt to accept people to stay there long term they obviously some of them have alcohol and drug issues. Along with criminal issues. I was staying there Oct 22/25 2025 for a wedding ., my guests staying with me could smell the weed from the front lobby into the halls all over the hotel. It’s disgusting. Not healthy let alone traveling with a toddler with lung issues. I was going to stay to Saturday too. But decided to leave and go stay at another hotel. And it wasn’t the Hilton garden inn on Staten Island either. Went over the bridge to NJ.. cheaper and cleaner. No shady people staying there and no weed smell all over the hotel either. I’m not happy the Hampton inn on Staten Island wasn’t cheap either definitely not worth the price they charge plus the lack of care for other paying customers like myself and others who deserve better than what the Hampton inn has agreed to let live there for extended period of time. I understand some people fall on hard times for unseen reason but some of these residents staying there were there drinking beers at 1pm in the lobby. Day after day.

I have stayed at this Hampton inn on staten island dozens of times before. This hotel has really turned into a terrible place to stay. Came in to stay there for a wedding Oct 22-25 2025 ..mg gf her grandson and her 2 daughters ..They now have agreed to take in people who smoke weed all over the hotel .. from the lobby up to the hallways , elevators the smell of weed is absolutely disgusting.and unhealthy. Especially for young children with lung issues. The hotel has totally sold their conscience for $$$$$$$$.. mind you the price they are charging is very high. They even locked the front lobby door on Friday night ..they know exactly what the issue is and just refuse to fix it as long as they are getting the money from the govt to room these individuals who they definitely know have issues with alcohol,drugs etc. we left on sat morning and stayed in a different hotel. And it wasn’t the Hilton garden inn which is also owned by the same owners of the Hampton inn in the same shared parking lot off south ave.
