I did not actually stay - the room they gave me was disgusting, so I cancelled my stay and went to a different hotel. They told me that I would NOT be charged for my stay, but I have been charged almost $1200 for my stay, which I did not use. I am having a very difficult time getting the hotel to refund my money. At this time I have still not succeeded in getting my refund.

The staff was kind and excellent. The floor I was on however was like staying in construction zone. Wet paint in the halls with signs everywhere and ice and water bottle fill station did not work. The room while clean enough was also in very poor condition. The walls were bare with outlines of where art used to be hung, the headboard had tears and rips in it and there was one light. They were clearly renovating but should not have let guest stay in those rooms. It was not a pleasant experience.

The check in process was really slow - booked room not available - staff very rude and dismissive - told as I had paid in advance they could do nothing only choice was to forfeit cost or accept a basic room for 1st night. This room was uninhabitable - next to the lift shaft and ice making machine - moist all night. Air conditioning sounded like a jet engine and could not be turned off - decor was worse than untidy - mould in the bathroom and curtains did not pu so neon lights all night. Door lock did not engage had to place a chair against the door for safety - safe in the room was locked open so did not use- plus a sign stated using the safe did not mean the hotel took liability. Only 2 lifts worked so many queues. Really poor experience - was offered a free breakfast which was part of our booking - breakfast was a bag containing a pastry - banana and a coffee - joke. Second night we were placed in our booked room - upgraded(don’t make me laugh) door did not lock - lights loose on the walls - bathroom door no handles and air on was not controllable. Complained to front desk and have been offered 25%off night 1 stay if I contact Expedia and they refund me- even that has proved impossible. DO NOT STAY HERE - NON GUEST WALKING CORRIDORS - ROOMS NOT LOCKABLE - BELONGINGS NOT SAFE - NOWHERE TO EAT - YOU WILL NOT SLEEP A WINK - AND FOR THE PRICE THEY CHARGE WITH THE BUILDING WORKS THAT GO ON PAST 6PM - it is a joke and needs to be closed down and the staff retrained

I had a standard room and it was super old and outdated. It had dirty wallpaper … the bathtub was dirty, towels had hair on them (not mine), low water pressure, cracked floor tiles causing the floor to raise and the carpet was thin and uncomfortable. cel phone service was terrible and wifi was unreliable.when i called the front desk, they gave me the run around about the wifi code and ac did not work.

Bad wake up with a headache

They couldn't find my booking i had ro wait for then to fix the problem,but everything was fine to 7:00am thats when every 20 minutes somebody open the doors on me or trying to open the door cause tbey say they didn't know the room was occupied i had like mAYBE 5 people did that the last person told me they had me checked out at in the system

Pleasant staff but hotel is kind of run down.

Hotel staff was very polite and professional. The hotel itself needs a big refresh. Wallpaper was peeling, electrical fixtures were probably circa 1970, and all shiny surfaces had stains from time and care. Hallways were in clean but bad shape. The area is pretty loud, so be prepared for that as well. The only unforced error in my stay was missing shampoo. I'm not sure if they stopped refilling the liquid body soap dispensers in favor of bar soaps, but that was empty as well.

I visited the manhattan at Times Square last week with my cousin and we two women in our younger 20s, traveled on a redeye over 6 hours to NYC. This was by far the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Upon arrival we had asked to use the bathroom to change out of our airport clothes since our room was not going to bed ready for at least another 8 hours but we could call to see if there was a room ready if we left the hotel. Of course we left since there were two small couches in the “lobby”. There was no available bathroom to use, we were told to go across the street and use another hotels bathroom. The service when we first got there felt off. We asked if they were able to hold our bags, and were reassured they would be put in a safe room but not after begging for a tip. We walked around for hours and were starting to get tired so I tried calling the hotel, they hadn’t picked up for over an hour and a half but I was finally able to get ahold of someone and they stated our room was ready. We hurried back to the hotel to get checked in, when we arrived our bags were in the hallway right where we left them and were not put in a secure room. Going up to our room two of the elevators were out of service so we had to wait what seemed like forever at the time. Throughout our whole time the elevators were an issue. We finally made it up to our room, and the door lock was not intact, which didn’t make us feel comfortable. The room was extremely old and dirty from years of grime build up.

Not as advertised

The room was nothing like it was portrayed. Carpet was dirty and smelly, furniture needs an urgent upgrade. Bathtub was broken, no A/C or fan and bed was uncomfortable. I requested a refund when we saw that it was a misleading advertisement to move to another hotel, but they never responded. Terrible experience.
