Summary:

This beachy 3 bedroom, 2 bath, lower unit of a duplex is on the boardwalk and just steps away from the sand with great views of the Newport pier. The living area opens to the kitchen, with granite countertops and everything you'll need to whip up meals for the family. The counter seats 4 on stools for ocean view meals. A queen bed graces the master bedroom at the end of the hallway, with en suite bath. There is 1 parking spot available in the shared garage.



The Space:

This ocean front home is perfect for your next family vacation! With shutters in the living room that open completely to showcase breathtaking ocean and Catalina views and furnishings that make the living easy, this home is cozy and bright to lounge in after a long day on the beach. A flat screen TV in the living area is great for movie nights after a refreshing day at the beach and the gas fireplace lends ambiance and warmth on cool evenings.



The living area opens to the kitchen, with granite countertops and everything you'll need to whip up meals for the family. The counter seats 4 on stools for ocean view meals.



A queen bed graces the master bedroom at the end of the hallway, with an en suite bath. 2 beachy guest bedrooms - each with two twins - share a hall bath with shower/tub combination.



People watching has never been more entertaining, all from the comfort of your patio. Enjoy spectacular sunsets and Catalina Island views as well. The propane BBQ is handy to grill favorite meals and create lifelong memories.



The unit has parking for one car in the shared garage and exclusive use of the washer/dryer in the garage.



The surf and sand at this family-friendly beach are perfect thanks to the jetties at 28th and 32nd St, which help shape the waves to make them more manageable. The bike path/boardwalk in front is your ticket to explore the Peninsula on 2 wheels or on foot. Shops and local eateries galore surround the Newport Pier, just a short stroll away. Lido Marina Village with its high-end boutiques, Nobu and more casual restaurants is a few blocks away.

The location speaks for itself and was incredible. That said this was the dirtiest and least stocked VRBO we have ever stayed in, probably why it was still available the week before our short notice vacation. My teenagers didnt want to sleep on the beds, my wife rolled the master bed comforter back and saw a huge disgusting stain, towels were so worn they had holes and were see through, pots and pans were the worst, we ate out for every meal. Floors were sticky, carpets had exposed nails. Couches were wet upon arrival, from who know what, we had to turn the cushions over to sit down, gross! Beach equipment looked like it was from the 1980's, glad we brought most our own or borried from our neighbor. Please tell the owner they can buy a new coffee pot, its not a competition to have the oldest and most rusted pot on the beach! This location could be soooo much more. Sorry, but we will never go back here.

Great Location and had everything we needed

Given I have young children, I loved that this house had a higher fence in the patio next to the bike path. Some houses have a half wall but this doesn't (it was standard height). Great for keeping toddlers in. I also loved that it was far enough from the Pier to minimize foot traffic but close enough for us to walk. The house was simple and had everything we needed. However, I do hope they replace the shutters facing the ocean. The shutters were broken and we had to open them all the way to see the view (which made the surrounding windows darker). Not a deal breaker but that's the only *bummer. Everything else was exactly what we needed. Thanks to the home owner, cleaners and property manager! My family and I had a great time!

Location, Location, Location

When they say location is important, this property is the true meaning of that! We've never stayed directly on the beach before, and moving forward, this is the only way to go! There was plenty of room for the 6 of us. Only negative comment is I would've liked the patio to have nicer furniture.

Great Location!

The house is smaller than what the pictures show. We had to put our sheets on the bed, they said it had to due with covid. But the comforter was on the bed, leaving me to believe that they arent washed between guests. The only other complaint I had was that we needed more chairs on the patio. Otherwise, it's right on the beach and is walking distants to the pier. We all had a great time.

Beautiful view

Nice and clean. Only complaint is the cost with all the add ons, booking fee, cleaning fee, management fee, and we had to empty all trash and strip the beds, after a large cleaning fee. Also, airplanes fly directly overhead regularly. Just the value was not worth it.

Newport beach home

This home is set directly on the beach with a beautiful view. We enjoyed many hours sitting on the patio watching the waves, surfers, and beach activities. The location of this home is what made the rental worth it. However, the condition of the unit is in serious need of repair. The owner's are not maintaining or upkeeping the property as should be. Many of the windows blinds were broken and we were concerned to touch the sliding door because it is going to fall over at any time (the screen is holding it up). And this is just to name a few. I'm not sure why the owners are charging $175 for damages (that you may or may not create) when clearly that money is not going towards fixing anything. It was also frustrating to have to make our own beds upon arrival and to be given 1 towel and 1 wash cloth per person, and we were there for several days.

Great location in Newport!

We had a great time here and you could not beat the location. It’s only a short walk to the shops and restaurants. The unit is a little older, but offered everything we needed. Would definitely book again.

Great location just no extras

Great location right on the beach. We had to make our own beds and I have never had to do that in a vacation rental. Wish the kitchen was a bit better stocked. There were no pot holders in the unit. Both bathrooms had burnt out light bulbs. There was some wear on the unit itself. Still a good rating due to the great beach location.

This place is awesome! would definitely stay here again!!! We liked that our sheets and towels were shrink wrapped so we knew they were clean. There is some wear and tear on it but it didn't bother us at all. We did not feel it was dirty at all as some review suggest.

The beach house was amazing. Very clean inside with everything you need. Fireplace was amazing. Walking distance to everything. Was located off of 32st. I've rented plenty of houses in Newport and this was my favorite. Right next to the sand and ocean was the biggest factor. 5*
