When we arrived at the property, we were immediately disappointed. There was a large brownish-orange stain on the kitchen ceiling, suggesting prior water damage, which was not shown in the listing photos. The cutlery was heavily worn and appeared unclean. While these issues were concerning, we decided not to let them ruin our trip and headed out for dinner and fun at the pier.When we returned later that evening, things only got worse. In the first bedroom, we found a stain on the sheets and what looked like grains of rice in the bed. In the second bedroom, there was a large stain on the comforter. At that point, we didn’t even check the other rooms—we were too uncomfortable to stay. We left a message for the host and decided to leave the property that night, as it was simply not in a condition where we felt we could sleep.The state of the rental did not match the listing or the positive reviews, and the experience was very disappointing. Unfortunately, our summer vacation was disrupted, and to make matters worse, we were refunded less than half of what we paid.

Sheet in one of the bedrooms - couldn't get a picture of the rice looking items.

Great property, great hosts

This VRBO was the perfect size for me and my family for my husband and I'd anniversary weekend out of the city. All four bedrooms are good size and the unit itself had all the necessary accoutrements, from the kitchen to the bathrooms. There was ample off street parking and the apartment is in a safe neighborhood. It is also close to major highways so getting into downtown Portland was a breeze. We ate down at the Pier on our first night and enjoyed our time there as well. The hosts were super communicative and check-in was easy. Good value for the area and size. Would definitely stay again.

What a fabulous vacation we all had! The house was great and plenty of room for all of us. Was wonderful to all be in one home and so close to everything we wanted to do. Highly highly recommend staying here!!!

Lots of space!

I stayed here with my husband, our two young children, my mother, and our dog. There was plenty of space for everyone and found the place to be clean and comfortable. We walked to the pier area on multiple occasions, but when going to the beach we opted to drive. The walk is just a little too far with two kids and no room in their wagon for beach gear. It Would be a nice manageable walk without the extra bags and gear.
