Shared Pool + Hot Tub + Putting Green | Walk to Dining | The Rosalie

There's a quieter side of Palm Springs — a leafy residential pocket just south of downtown where the pace slows, the mountains feel closer, and the loudest thing around is a hummingbird working the gardens. That's where you'll find The Rosalie, a small mid-century property reimagined as a desert retreat, and this bright one-bedroom suite is one of its best seats. The layout gives you real room to settle in: a king bed with fresh linens in the bedroom, a queen sofa bed for two more guests, extra seating, a full dining table, and bar seating for the in-between moments.

Mornings are easy here. Brew a fresh pot in your private kitchenette — outfitted with a microwave, toaster oven, refrigerator, and coffee maker — and take it out to your own patio while the desert is still cool. The fully stocked bathroom is built for a hot shower after a hike or a long afternoon at the pool, and when you'd rather stay in, the flat-screen TV and complimentary Wi-Fi handle everything from movie nights to a few unavoidable work emails.

The grounds are the heart of the property. Palm trees sway over the pool, songbirds and hummingbirds move through the air, and the San Jacinto Mountains rise in nearly every direction. Claim a poolside lounger and soak up the California sun, cool off with a swim, or sink into the hot tub as the sky turns pink at golden hour. Shaded lounges offer relief on the hottest afternoons, and the shared grill area is made for casual evenings cooking with your group or trading recommendations with fellow guests.

Location-wise, you're right in the heart of it. The Rosalie sits centrally in Palm Springs, putting you minutes from buzzy coffee shops, spas, and a dining scene that ranges from desert-chic small plates to old-school steakhouses. Tee off at one of the nearby championship courses, take a day trip to Joshua Tree National Park, or ride the tram up Mt. San Jacinto State Park for a completely different perspective on the desert. Film festivals, live music, gallery walks, and the city's iconic mid-century modern architecture round out an itinerary you'll want to stretch out as long as you can.
