How close is Private Retreat ~ Minutes from Historic Downtown and Beach! to the airport?
This vacation home is 1.4 mi (3-min drive) away from the St. Augustine, FL (UST-Northeast Florida Regional) airport, the closest popular airport to the property.
The thing we werenât crazy about was the lack of amenities weâve had at other vrbos, e.g., coffee for the coffee maker, salt and pepper, olive oil so we didnât have to bring every little thing. There were no dish scrubbies or cloths, no hair dryer (even cheap motels have that). Our last 2 vrbos welcomed us with a bottle of wine. There wasnât a guest book either which we enjoy looking at to see what experiences the other guests enjoyed. Because of all that, the place felt sort of cold and barren, not as welcoming as other places.
Nice, clean and convenient place to stay! We visited family in St. Augustine for Christmas, and found this place easy to access - especially with all of the holiday madness in the area! The house has a nice layout with ample living area space, the kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed and the mattresses were extremely comfortable - I regret not looking to see who made them! Bonus: The host - Marty - was responsive and timely! In short we had zero issues staying here, and will consider it again for future visits. We highly recommend its more secluded setting, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others staying in the region. Thanks again Marty!
