Birders Paradise! Reconnect with the natural world in this beautiful condo with a gorgeous view of Florida Keys Nature! This beautiful condo is located in Building 1 at Ocean Pointe Suites in Tavernier, ideally located between Key Largo & Islamorada! This building leans up to tropical woodlands, called hammocks. Birders will get a front row seat with an Osprey Nest in the distance and visiting monk parakeets, woodpeckers to name just a few!



The Space:

Newly Refreshed and Upgraded Accommodations. This two bedroom/two bathroom condo has been recently completely renovated with custom designer decor, updated kitchen, comfy recliner sofa & bathrooms.



The balcony offers views of the nature preserve. Florida Keys 'hammocks".



The Master bedroom features a King size bed and ensuite master bathroom with a walk-in shower. The guest bedroom features a Queen bed with an unattached bathroom with a bathtub.



Guests will also enjoy the convenience of an in-unit washer/dryer.

Getting Around:

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

If you are arriving via car and have a GPS / SatNav system in the car, please use 500 Burton Drive, Tavernier, Florida as the address. If you do not have a GPS device, you can find us from the mainland by taking the Florida Turnpike south to Exit 4 - Homestead/Key West. This is the Turnpike Extension that will connect you to Route US 1 in Florida City, which takes you through the Keys to Key West at the very end of US 1.

Please be aware that speed limits throughout the Florida Keys are strictly enforced. Driving Route 1 to Key West is one of the most beautiful drives there is. Please be especially careful through the Big Pine Key area as this is a Key Deer Refuge. Speed limits are reduced in this area. You can reach Ocean Pointe by following Route 1 south from Homestead, over the 20-mile causeway, past Key Largo and making a left onto Burton Drive at mile marker 92.5, just before the Circle K convenience store and Dairy Queen in the median. Ocean Pointe is approximately half mile down Burton drive on your right. Please excuse us as we undergo renovations for a new gate house.



GETTING HERE WITHOUT A CAR

We understand that some of you will be traveling without a car. We would not recommend this, as there are many places to visit, and it could be significantly more expensive. Ride share apps such as Lyft and Uber are available in the area. Some possibilities to explore:



KEYS AIRPORT SHUTTLE provides daily door to door shuttle service to and from Key West & the Florida Keys & Miami & Ft Lauderdale airports.



The GREYHOUND KEYS SHUTTLE has daily scheduled departures from the Miami Airport to all areas in the Keys.



CAR PARKING

Parking is provided for two cars on site and is easily accessible to our unit. Please be aware that all guests must be registered prior to coming, and the plate numbers of cars provided.



Other Things to Note:

MARINA RESERVATIONS

Please note that we do not manage the marina and cannot guarantee availability for boat dockage. You will have to contact the Dockmaster at Ocean Pointe, please contact Oasis Vacation Rentals for the Dockmaster email address.



You will be required to submit a copy of the vessel insurance and registration along with the trailer registration and room confirmation. Please be sure to attach all required documents during your initial submission as failure to do so will delay our ability to process your request.



Use the Ocean Pointe Marina Amenity Reservation form to submit your request and required documentation directly to the Ocean Pointe dock master. To ensure you are able to use the marina and facilities prior to submitting a request, please see the general rules below:



Rules/Regulations/Restrictions:

‱ All operators of vessels in the marina must have a copy of a current insurance declaration page indicating a minimum of $300,000 bodily liability and $100,000 property damage coverage on file with the dock master.

‱ Owned or commercially rented vessels must be registered and insured or rented in the name of the owner or registered guest staying on the property.

‱ Vessels must not exceed 28ft registered length. (Note: maximum beam 9’6”)

‱ Jet Skis, Wave runners, Sea Doo's or other PWC are not allowed on property or in the marina at any time.



BEACHES

The Florida Keys isn’t really known for its vast beaches. We are a series of islands made up of coral rock. We do have some small beaches that are accessible but they are nothing like the beaches you will find on the west coast of Florida or the Miami/Ft Lauderdale area. The closest public beach is Anne’s Beach which is in south Islamorada. The best way to experience the Keys is to get out on the water. We have world class boating, diving, snorkeling, and kayaking!

Great Condo

We stayed here for mini lobster season and it was a great condo for 2 couples. The location was a 5-8 minute walk to the boat dock, but we ended up driving most mornings. My only complaint was that we wished the beds were a little comfier! Overall, great condo, great boat ramp and dock.

Sparkling clean and beautifully decorated!

We especially enjoyed the access to the beach and other parts of the property. Listening to the birds and watching the mother Osprey feed her young was a highlight of our trip. It had easy access to the road and was located in a beautiful area.

as we always have an ocean view and private balcony when we stay there, we will be sure and ask those questions before we stay at Ocean Point again because that is what we prefer. We felt like the price should have been less since that wasn't the case. We can say this was one of the most well kept units we've ever stayed in and we did enjoy it. We enjoyed the way everything was labeled so that you knew how to operate the lights, the fan, etc. It was very nice.

This unit is very nice; clean and well suited for four people. During our 2-week stay, we enjoyed the pool area and the beach. Any questions we had were answered promptly. I made a few suggestions and they were well received. The property is within just a few miles of some very nice restaurants as well as other attractions. Great Location For Families

This being our third trip to the Keys, we find we like the Key Largo to Islomarada stretch best. It gives easy access to Miami or the rest if the Keys. We love this particular property because it is quiet and secluded, yet has the feel of a resort. Nice pool, a small restaurant and bar, and even a food truck. Great fishing can be had from the beach This unit was perfect! First it had that Florida beach theme you want when going to the Keys. It was consistent and flowed., it didnt seem thrown together from gift shops. The bed, sheets, and pillows were very comfortable, which is often hard to find when renting a condo. The couch and loveseat are also nice quality and sturdy. The hosts made check-in easy, and had very little requirements for check-out. We will definitely be back.
