I have a reservation confirmation, once I arrived to hotel they refused to honor my reservation. I was unprofessional on their end and poor customer service.

Friendly staff

Small and clean hotel. The staff is nice and friendly. Nice pool and wait room at the entrance. The air conditioner was too noisy for me and bathroom door was to hard to closed and open from the inside of the bathroom.

The best possible location in Puerto Vallarta.

Pros: Personable staff, clean room, free wifi.
Cons: There was a nasty smell that would come out of the drain in our bathroom at night.
Location: It's right between the Zona Romantica and old town by the river. Everything is near-by. The ocean is a short walk away. Located on a quiet street.
Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Cleaning service came by everyday to change sheets, clean bathroom and bring fresh towels. Restaurant and bar on roof has amazing view of ocean and sunset. Rooftop pool was great too.

Annual Sojourn

Pros: Location (x3)
I love PVR and this hotel is right in the middle of everything. Right on the river and on the border of Centro and Zona Romantica. Rooftop pool is never crowded and a great place for iguana spotting. Leave your homophobia at home if you go to Zona Romantica, though. Seriously. It is way Gay.

Close to beach, colourful shops, cheap but okay

Pros: Everything - beautiful grounds, nice swimming pool, nice open restaurant, friendly workers, surrounded by colourful shops, cafes, walk to safe beach.
Cons: Management needs written Rules of Conduct requiring signature of tenants. If noise/conduct rules are broken after warning, residents to be evicted.
Location: Walking distance to beach; lots of shops incl. handmade goods; lots of eating places; lots of beaut. architecture; taxi drivers excellent tour guides.
Hotel surrounded by colourful shops and cafes, walking distance to beach with cafes. Hotel accommodation basic, ok, cheap, and has open swimming pool and restaurant top floor with ocean views. Staff nice, friendly. Poor management of noise levels and bad behaviour of young people causing havoc through the night running through the place. Management lacked control of that. I will not stay there again - only because of poor noise control. Lots of Americans return regularly, but I won't.
