The property double booked our room without letting us know until we were almost there after a 5 hr drive. We booked in Feb and the actual stay is on Aug 13. They had all this time to reach out and didn't. They rebooked us when we got there at a nearby motel that is clearly substandard and cheaper. The new motel room had flaking paints, missing fire alarm in ceiling, missing bathroom fan cover, ant problem, closets without hanging pole...etc. Ramada offer to reimburse 30% of our stay which i talked up to 50%, but there is nothing on paper to indicate that other than their word which is already broken. With the new place even with discount they probably make a profit from my stay and the difference between the price of the two facility. Which mean they could make extra from double booking. We were not the only family too.

Staff were polite and friendly, and check-in was smooth. The rooms were as shown in the photos—no surprises there. However, by the time I arrived for breakfast at 8:30 AM, many items were already gone. Refills were slow, and some items—including plates & pancakes —were not replenished at all, which was disappointing. Given the number of guests, they should have been better prepared.

During our stay of three nights, we had two major issues (one quite a bit more important than the other). The less important was on our second night, when we returned from our day at family’s, the cleaners had switched the fireplace on and we walked into a room which was over 40 degrees Celsius. We shut off the fire and had to open windows and blast air conditioning to make it even remotely comfortable. Significantly more important was he final night. The fire alarm went off and guests filed outside. We waited for a staff member to join us or tell us anything at all. The alarm stopped sounding, no fire trucks arrived, and no staff told us anything at all. Finally one of the guests re-entered the property and found a staff member who told them all was well, and then that same guest was the one to relay the information to all of us standing outside in the cold night. Nothing from staff, no discussions or apologies or reassurances at any point. I no longer felt like the property was safe in case of any real emergency. For the price we paid, we were incredibly unimpressed.
