Grand Burstin Hotel Folkestone
"The staff were excellent and the hotel bar was good but the whole place appeared dated and in some areas, a poor state of repair (like gaffa tape holding one of the lift control panels to the wall!). Our room was in overall ok condition but simple things that should have worked didn’t, for example ..."

"We stayed at Days Inn by Wyndham Maidstone from 25–27 June 2026 and had a very upsetting experience. The Lookout Rye
"As one can tell from the photos, this is a beautiful lodge in the old city. It's perched on a cliff overlooking the lowlands and the harbor off in the distance. The staff were always helpful and friendly. The breakfast menu, while limited, offered a fine variety of options, all well prepared. The only factor that keeps this rating from 5-stars is that the building lacks an elevator and stairs to upper floors are narrow and steep, the carpet is threadbare, and the walls require repair and re-painting. (The staff assured us that such repairs are forthcoming.) One would expect better upkeep, given the rates charged. That said, we'd go back."
