Lying in the heart of the seaside resort of Aberaeron, this charming, detached Georgian holiday home, makes a perfect touring base for a family looking to explore the dramatic coastline of Ceredigion and mountains of mid Wales. Formerly a gentlemen’s residence, it boasts plenty of character, including a wood-burning stove, contemporary style en-suite bathroom and open plan farmhouse-style kitchen, with its very own Aga for home cooking. For kids and family entertainment, there is a large games room with a pool table, table tennis, dartboard and TV, a great distraction in inclement weather. Outside, enjoy the wooden verandah with BBQ facilities overlooking the landscaped garden which also has a lovely hot tub, where you can unwind after spending days out exploring the area. The quirky harbour towns of Aberaeron, Aberystwyth and Newquay offer traditional Welsh pubs, stylish restaurants and sandy beaches, where dolphins and porpoises are often spotted on a clear day. To the north are the famous slopes of Snowdon, offering breathtaking views with abundance of walks amidst the tumbling waterfalls, shimmering lakes with buzzards and peregrine falcons soaring high. The area is a natural playground for ramblers, mountain bikers and climbers alike. Beach 500 yards. Shop and pub 100 yards.

Awelfa is a fabulous property in the pretty seaside town of Aberaeron in mid Wales. Perfect for exploring the beautiful coast. It is beautifully decorated and well equipped, beds are super comfortable and bathrooms are stunning. The sun deck and hot tub are the cherry on this fabulous house. The owner has thought of everything 😀

Stunning house and spotlessly clean. Lovely welcome and everything you could possibly ask for. Cannot recommend this house enough- we would love to visit again. The hot tub and games room were a real hit with the kids and Laura Ashley furnishings and decor were a real luxury.

We had some slight issues with the heating but the owner sorted out the problem the next day.

Decorated to a magnificent standard with the games rooms and hot tub an excellent addition. Would love to spend longer in the summer months because you’d never have to leave the house and garden.

Awelfa is a lovely house, beautifully decorated and looked after. Very comfortable place to stay with family and their partners for a get together. The games room and hot tub were really enjoyed, and central location in Aberaeron was great.
