The private Villa offers a unique setting not found with other rentals in the Lake Arenal area.  Our property is located on a 20 acre private estate with no other homes in sight. Walking to the shore from the lake access road is a 15 min hike down hill.  The villa is part of a rain forest preserve that has a spring fed stream leads to the lake, hiking trails in the jungle canopy and a water cascade running through the tropical gardens.
The house is a 2 story, 2 bedroom, 2 bath home that sleeps up to 7 guests. It has a view of the lake from the balcony, patio and every room. The second story master suite has its own private entrance and balcony. Relax and vacation at our rental home where you can walk to the lake and enjoy sunsets, bird watching, fishing and the sounds of the rain forest. The Villa is a two story house that sleeps up to 7 guests with a unique design. The downstairs has living room, dining area, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and laundry room with large porch. The upper level has a separate private entrance for the master bedroom suite that offers amenities with kitchenette and dining area, combined living area, bathroom and a veranda. From the veranda upstairs you have a perfect view of the lake, the wind turbines, the numerous birds and at night the lights of Tronadora across the lake. Here you will enjoy a spectacular setting at this rain forest retreat with incredible views of Lake Arenal and the surrounding mountains. The house is set in the mountains on the edge of a stream so we get the cool morning and evening breezes as well as the relaxing sounds of the running water. You can follow the stream down to the Arenal lake shore or follow a trail through the property to the edge of the lake to discover the beautiful coves where you can enjoy the lake. This is one of the few rental properties that has direct Lake Arenal access with just a few minutes walk to the lakeshore from the house.
Jungle treks through the rain forest is an eco-adventure of a lifetime with miles of manicured trails available on the estate. The sounds and images of this rainforest preserve are all part of the experience of staying at the Lake View Villa. Imagine waking up to the sounds of running water from the hillside water features and the stream, the unique howling of the howler monkeys, and dozens of birds making their morning sounds as they explore the trees surrounding the house. Bird watching in this temperate zone climate offers as many as 300 different species of birds in Costa Rica. We have seen keel billed toucans, tanagers, parrots, hummingbirds, red legged honeycreepers, hawks and a virtual potpourri of colorful feathered friends eating at the nearby bird perch. Exploring the Area:
If you choose to leave the property, the town of Nuevo (New) Arenal is only about a 10 minute drive from the Villa and has changed little in the past 20 years. It remains a typical Costa Rican village with just enough grocery stores, bakeries, bars and restaurants to serve the community Here you can make your food purchases as there are two fully equipped kitchens where you can cook at home. A few minutes’ walk from the property is The Rana German Restaurant where you can feast on great food and see a collection of poison dart frogs. There are many great restaurants in Nuevo Arenal where you can enjoy the delicious pizza at Moyas, gourmet food at the Gingerbread, breakfast at Lucky Bug or typical Costa Rican food at Las Delicias or Las Tinejas.

After exploring it is great to get back to the cooler comfort of the house so you can relax for the evening watching the sun set or a movie. There is a large collection of DVD’s for your enjoyment and a television and DVD player upstairs and downstairs.
There are paved roads all the way to the Villa from the Liberia airport (1.5 hour drive ) or the San Jose airport (3.5 hour drive.) No need to negotiate bad roads. Also bus transportation is easily available within minutes of the Villa for the more adventuresome so there is no need for a car.
