Welcome to Cliff St. Cottage — a luxury heritage retreat in the heart of historic Albany, Western Australia. Nestled within Albany’s iconic heritage precinct, this beautifully restored self-contained cottage blends timeless character with relaxed coastal elegance, offering sweeping harbour views and an unforgettable stay.

Lovingly restored, the cottage showcases original features including polished timber floors, soaring ceilings, and open fireplaces, thoughtfully paired with contemporary comforts and stylish interiors. From sunrise coffees on the sundeck to evenings beside the fire, every space has been designed for comfort, connection and slow holiday living.

The cottage features two spacious queen bedrooms and a charming double bedroom, all styled with quality linens, plush pillows and calming touches for restful nights and lazy mornings. The light filled living room invites you to unwind on deep sea-blue sofas beside the crackling log fire while enjoying harbour through expansive windows.

The fully equipped galley kitchen includes a gas cooktop, electric oven, dishwasher, coffee machine with pods supplied, pantry staples, spice drawer and breakfast bar — perfect for preparing relaxed meals at home. Gather around the formal dining table for long dinners warmed by the wood stove, or dine alfresco surrounded by the peaceful cottage garden.

Outside, the established garden is filled with seasonal fruit trees, birds, butterflies and visiting possums, creating a truly magical atmosphere. Guests are welcome to enjoy fresh produce including lemons, berries, pears, avocados and more when in season.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The cottage was very homely, nestled in the historic area of town and a short walk to get coffee etc. The cottage had excellent amenities which everything you could think of available. It was wonderful to light the fire of an evening. Thanks for a fabulous family stay, we loved it!

This is the second time we have stayed at The Cottage and once again we were not disappointed. This place has everything you need and a very clean and well presented home. The fireplaces add to the cottage feel, with all the modern cons to support a relaxing stay.For us though, it was the view from the deck with a warm cup of tea in the morning and evening. It is very quiet and the short walk from town makes its location perfect.The bed was comfy and the modern kitchen (with stocked pantry) was perfect for those stay at home meals after a day of traveling. This place will definitely be our go to Stayz when heading to Albany. Love it!

Cosy winter

We absolutely loved staying at Cliff st Cottage. It is beautifully decked out with everything you could need. Staying during winter meant we had the added bonus of lighting the fire place which added to our cosy retreat experience. The location is great - easy to get to and close by to multiple attractions. Would definitely recommend!

Enjoyed our stay thou as it was showery one of the days foound the concrete steps especially lower painted ones slippery and no handrail to hold on to only top of roof and dide which is slippery as was wet. Beds were very comfy and had enough litchen stuff that u wanted.

A Relaxing and Enjoyable Stay

Have been holidaying in Albany for 30 years and this was by far the most enjoyable. Everything you could possibly need was provided at the cottage making it a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The garden and location were amazing and we are so grateful that we could bring our fur baby. Will definitely be back.

bad experience

1. property is to hard to drive in and out. 2. too steep to walk from parking to house for older people. I am 70 years old, and I had difficulty to step in the shower because the shower is over a bad tub. 3. no armchair to sit and the lounge seats are too low for older people. 4. bed were on good for me. 5. we stay 1 night out of 4 nights that i had booked.

Cosy cottage

Cosy character cottage with the most gorgeous view of Albany port. Excellent location, close to town & only a short drive to Middleton beach. The house itself has all the ammenities you could ask for & then some. Great little fenced in backyard which was perfect for my dog. Highly recommend.

Perfect holiday home

We were very comfortable here in this beautiful cottage with our three young children. They loved walking to the farmers markets and the views of King George sound ,playing in the beautiful garden as well as the chalk board and craft drawer. Tanya has thought of every tiny detail and we very much appreciated the beach bags and towels being handy for an impromptu beach trip. We enjoyed the several different seating areas and fire in the evening. We have made some lovely family memories here :) highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage

Beautiful cottage, with great views, great fireplace and excellent location. Our dog enjoyed the backyard and sleeping by the fire and there was enough space for the family to spread out to unwind. The location is excellent, close to everything in Albany.
