Alterhome Cortijo Sierra y Lago - Andalusian Paradise

This wonderful Andalusian farmhouse is located between the villages of Arcos de la Frontera and Algar, in the province of Cadiz. It has the perfect location to enjoy a few days of relaxation with the whole family in a unique environment surrounded by nature. It owes its name "Sierra and Lake" to the fact that it is located between the Sierra and the Lake, belonging to the routes of the white villages, the most interesting area of the province which is home to treasures such as Bornos, the enclave allows for a variety of excursions. The lake 'Embalse de Guadalcacín' is 1 km away, also a few km away you will find the nearby villages and supermarkets.

It has a capacity for 13 people and a typical Andalusian decoration, cosy and with a great luminosity that will make you feel at home. With 5 bedrooms: two with double beds, 2 bunk beds, and 5 single beds, there is also the possibility of adding extra beds. There are 4 bathrooms with bathtub, all with hairdryer, and an individual toilet.

The open-plan kitchen with ceramic hob is fully equipped with fridge, microwave, oven, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, crockery/cutlery, kitchen utensils, coffee machine, deep fryer, toaster and juicer.

The dining room is designed for 10 people. The spacious living room is divided into two parts, with large windows overlooking the garden and a fireplace. It has 2 televisions, stereo, dvd. It has heating by electric radiators and air conditioning.

The most outstanding part is its garden, which has a private swimming pool for summer days and garden furniture, terrace and barbecue, also private parking and can feel safe to be protected with alarm.Pets are allowed for a supplement of 30 euros.


In Alterhome, we like to personally welcome our clients at the moment of their arrival. The check-in time is from 16:00 to 21:00 and check-out before 11:00. We have a strict non smoking policy for all properties and pets are permitted upon request.
We will be delighted to offer a range of additional services (paid and upon request) such as: Private transfers, early / late check-in and late check-out (subject to availability), Organise your groceries etc.
It is very important for us that you have a pleasant stay. Therefore, we are always available in our office hours from 9:00. to 21:00, and out of hours 24 in case of emergency.

Sierra y lago, cantera y abejas
El cortijo está muy bien, pero en su entorno habitan abejas, más de 30 panales a 200mt, que suben a beber a la piscina y hacen imposible estar fuera de la casa. Estuvimos 3 días sin poder salir y no se han ofrecido a compensarnos. Hay una cantera al lado que durante la mañana ocasiona un ruido persistente y molesto. Deberían esmerarse más en la limpieza profunda, armarios de cocina y menaje llenos de grasa, y dejar los armarios vacíos de enseres personales. Había montones de cosméticos y medicamentos empezados, adornos guardados y comida a medio empezar. Hay un guardes de la casa que vive allí, y eso no se anuncia, quiza alguien lo vea cómo inconveniente y quisiera saberlo con antelación.
