Are you looking for accommodation near Lucerne and Interlaken? Do you like an authentic atmosphere? Then you will love your stay in a renovated, typical village house right next to the Alpnach-Dorf train station.

BARLIS is a 2.5 room apartment (80 m2) on the second floor. Colourful, cosy, special. With kitchen-living room, garden and small fitness room.
Pilatus, Titlis, Rigi and four ski areas are only minutes away. Wi-Fi, TV, free washing. Shopping in the village. In five minutes in the nature.

The apartment BARLIS offers the following rooms and beds: 1 bedroom with double bed and additional bed, 1 very large living room with 2 bunk beds = 2 double beds. The living room can be divided into two rooms within seconds with a mobile room divider. The privacy is therefore guaranteed. Suitable for a maximum of 7 people. A baby bed is available for small children.

The kitchen offers everything you need to cook and enjoy. With large table for six people. From the kitchen table you can watch TV.
The bathroom is spacious and contains everything you need for personal hygiene. Towels, bathrobes, shower gel and shampoo are provided.

Our guests have access to the following rooms:
- Fitness room on the ground floor
- Laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer
- Garden with playground, pergola with table and six chairs to eat outside

We live in the same house, third floor. If you have any questions, we are always here for our guests. We are happy to support them with tips and suggestions for excursions in the surroundings. Would you like to explore the region off the official tourist trails? We would be happy to tell you our walking tips.

Our guests appreciate the short distances from Alpnach: Lucerne 15 minutes, Interlaken 30 minutes, Pilatus 5 minutes, Titlis 30 minutes, etc. The Titlis, Melchsee-Frutt, Lungern-Schönbühl and Hasliberg ski areas are only 15 to 40 minutes away.

Obwalden is one of the most typical landscapes in Central Switzerland: unspoilt, varied and intact. In summer it is a brilliant region for hikers, mountain bikers and motorcyclists. In winter it is a paradise for skiers and snowboarders. In addition, numerous beautiful villages and towns, interesting places and places of interest are waiting to be discovered. If you are looking for nature and recreation, this is the right place. Those who practice sports at the highest level also get their money's worth.

Please note that the Guber-Haus offers two holiday apartments: The apartment GERLIS on the first floor and the apartment BARLIS on the second floor.

There is one guest parking space per apartment. You travel with more than one car? No problem. There is a public parking lot 50 meters away. Additional parking spaces cost CHF 5 per day.

Alpnach lies in the canton of Obwalden, in the heart of Central Switzerland. Our house is located right next to the railway station. This is a decisive advantage for our guests. Within five minutes they are on the train.
The Guber-Haus is located on the outskirts of the village. This is also an advantage, because we are integrated into the village, but not in the middle of it. Within five minutes from us you can reach the recreation area and the water.

The Swiss railway is punctual, comfortable and has a very well developed network. You can get everywhere by train, even to remote places. From the apartment you can reach the train station in five minutes.
By car you are within five minutes on the motorway A8. Another five minutes away, one reaches the turnoffs to Gotthard, respectively to Basel and Zurich.
Most of the interesting excursion destinations can be reached from Alpnach within 10 to 40 minutes.

Lovely place to stay, perfectly located!
We had a great stay at Ralph and Patrizia's flat in Alpnach. It was so nice to be right across from the train station for ease of travel, while still getting the small-town, quiet and relaxing experience. The travel recommendations guide provided to us was excellent and provided plenty of activities in the area for us to explore. Highly recommend!

Great location, lovely hosts
Decided to stay outside the city limits on Lucerne and we stumbled on a gem of a property. Literally right across the street from the train station in Alpnach which is just 10 minutes from Lucerne. Even better, Ralph told us about Sarnen which is just 10 minutes in opposite direction from Lucerne. It was amazing! A Lake to swim at, an amazing rec pool, restaurant and camp ground—and best of all ridiculous view of the mountains. We will def be back. But when we come back we’ll be making more use of the kitchen since dining out tends to be quite expensive in Switzerland. Luckily there were 2 grocery stores in little Alpnach! Thanks Ralph! Loved the artist inspired apartment—Jaime and Craig

cozy apartment in an excellent location
We spent three nights here and had a wonderful experience! The apartment is large and clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were king and helpful but not intrusive. The location is also excellent. The apartment is right across from the train station, which makes it quick and easy to get to and from Lucerne. I would highly recommend this apartment and would happily return if I'm ever in the area again.

A perfect location to base yourself for seeing mountains and Lucerne, Zürich etc. The railway across the road is basically silent, at least for our family experience, so don’t let that worry you. Great hosts, very happy to help with no fuss. Comfy, spacious and arty living spaces. Recommended!

Cute little place
This was a terrific place to spend a couple of nights close to, but not in, Luzern. We loved that it was walkable and so close to the train station. Only thing that would have made it a little better would have been a comfortable couch or chair in the living space. We were very thankful that Ralph had left us some small grocery items like bread and pasta as this helped us get started with a meal we made for ourselves. Met and spoke to Ralph several times and he was very helpful and available.

Convenient but different layout
The location is very convenient, short train ride to Lucerne. However, the layout has the living area as the 2nd bedroom which is not very convenient for gathering space. Also bathroom is just outside the apartment door, weird but maybe a Europe thing.

In my experience in traveling the most important thing is the host, they are really nice and generous, they have some antique decorations which I like it, the kitchen is fully equipped. The train station is front of the building. Really I recommend for who looking for nice apartment between Luzern and Interlaken.
