Altefähr is located in the very southeast of the island of Rügen, directly on the Strelasund. From the small harbor and the beach promenade you can enjoy the view over the water, over the roofs and church towers of the historic old town of Stralsund. The modern beach promenade and the wide sandy beach invite you to stroll and linger, and the shallow water on the beach is especially attractive for families.
