For the high price I expected more amenities. There wasn’t only a combined hair/body wash pot. There was some instant coffee but no milk provided. Our bathroom handle was broken and after reporting it, no one was sent to fix it. This was quite dangerous. We had a room for 4 but not enough towels for all of us. The property had not received our booking from Expedia apparently and check in took a long time. The staff were great and very friendly and the pool area is nice. I wouldn’t say it was worth the money.

Our visit here was excellent. The property seems extraordinarily new or recently refurbished. The room was quite large given its close proximity to the downtown streets of Amboise. The staff were extremely pleasant and you could tell they are well trained/coached on ensuring positive guest experience. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Quiet hotel with an excellent staff. We used La Maison Rabelais as our base of operations as we discovered the Loire Valley region. One of the things was that it was just five minutes from a river trail where I could do my morning workout.

Beautifully restored hotel but was very sterile maybe because it was newly opened. The halls echoed with concrete but nicely painted. Our room was on the 1st floor over the entrance which was noisy with people returning at night or children playing out front. The last day the hostess warmed when engaged. Has great potential!! Staff at desk very helpful😀

Hîtel is in a great location for exploring Ambroise. Staff very obliging and rooms brand new, clean and comfortable. However as there was no air conditioning every room had their windows wide open day and night. Outside almost finished so still a few building noises and garden improvements to be made and for this reason we didn’t use the small swimming pool available.

This is a brand new hotel; yes some areas are being worked on as previous reviews advise. However, we stayed for 4 days mid August and further works I suspect had been completed. We found the hotel to be lovely. The staff were great and very helpful with things like advising on restaurants and booking cabs etc. The outdoor pool area is great, gated for safety and with the added benefit of a lift up to it. I think this is superb for those with limited mobility. The rooms are compact but well thought out and nicely decorated. It’s a 5 minute walk into the main area of Amboise. You can reach everywhere on foot. We liked it so much, we stayed another 4 days. A nice place to relax.

Das Hotel liegt perfekt im Herzen von Amboise. Alle SehenswĂŒrdigkeiten sind fußlĂ€ufig in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Es gibt einen kleinen Außenpool, ein Spa sowie alle Annehmlichkeiten, die man erwarten kann. Hervorragend ist das Personal, das höflich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend ist. Sehr gute Restaurantsempfehlungen.

Mon retour d'expĂ©rience sur la Maison Rabelais aurait pu ĂȘtre difficile si la rĂ©ception n'avait pas rĂ©agit. Place parking limitĂ© et logement lodge en dessous piscine ne bĂ©nĂ©ficie pas de refroidissement pas gĂ©othermie et exposĂ© sud avec baies vitrĂ©es et tempĂ©rature difficilement supportable. Heureusement, j'ai pu bĂ©nĂ©ficier d'un chambre PMR dans le logement principale climatisĂ© par gĂ©othermie.
