Deceiving information
Location:It was located in a small city outside of Amsterdam. There are small local restaurants and markets. Very quiet and not rowdy like Amsterdam.
First and foremost, it was impossible to book a hotel for Amsterdam and this was our only option to go with. When researching this hotel, it said that it was 7 minutes away from the city and located within walking to restaurant and attractions.
When we first arrived, the taxi took us to the wrong address because there is another location with the same address but different cities. So, if staying here please made aware that its in another city.
On the confirmation email and on through Travelocity, it states check in starts at 11 a.m. Upon our arrival, the staff informed me that this was wrong information and I would not be able to check in till 2. It was an inconvenience because we didn't have anywhere to stay with our luggage for the mean time. Luckily, we were able to leave our luggage while we killed time.
After this we checked in. The rooms were fine it was comfortable enough when we were jetlagged and needed a place to stay but nothing fancy.
The next morning, we had their breakfast which was delightful and the best part of staying there. I communicated with the hosts that we need for them to book us a taxi for the airport. They informed me that Taxis do not work over the weekend in Weesp but they would try. At this point, we were not very pleased with the services. After asking for the taxis all throughout the weekend, we were then in charge of booking the taxi. With the language barrier, it was not an easy task to tackle. Check out was easy and clean.
There's a restaurant on site. You can enjoy a drink at the bar/lounge. WiFi is free in public spaces. A terrace, tour/ticket assistance, and a vending machine are also featured at Het Hart van Weesp. This Weesp hotel is smoke free.
