After an 8 hour drive, we had issues getting into the house, as the code provided didnt work and so then we had to find where the lock box was located and find the key, which can only be used on the front door! We had no reception or wifi the entire time we where there, we reset the router countless times and there was no internet access... but we couldnt call and ask for help because we also had no phone reception! No tv available either as there is no aerial so without internet there is no TV! The house was not clean, the floors where dirty and the lounges and carpets where stained and had crumbs/dirt all over them. The hot water kept going freezing cold half way through a shower, requiring us to turn off the tap and start again! The light fitting in the bedroom was half hanging out of the roof with wires exposed. The only way to keep the house warm was to have both the fireplace and aircon running at the same time! The beds where comfortable but the linen was stained and looked dirty. There was not a good supply in the kitchen, we had to share 1 knife to eat a steak! For the price we paid for 4 nights, we certainly expected more. Very disappointed in this property!

Cosy and relaxing

Fabulous time in the region doing fishing, skiing and caves.Loved little Robin Escape. Only issues were sketchy internet and phone coverage which made check in a little tricky when the code did not work on the door.

Unsafe and Unacceptable – No Access in Freezing Conditions

While the accommodation itself was lovely once we finally got in, the experience leading up to that was absolutely unacceptable and downright dangerous.We never received the door code, even though our correct contact number was clearly listed on Stayz. The property managers claimed they had the wrong number on file but refused to take any responsibility for the error. There was no apology, no refund, and no attempt to make things right.We were left stranded outside in 0-degree temperatures with a young family and no alternative accommodation. I called the emergency number over 40 times, left countless voicemails and text messages, and received no response—not that night, not even the next morning. I had to chase them down myself, which is appalling.This wasn’t just poor service—it was irresponsible, unsafe, and dangerous. Leaving people in freezing conditions without shelter is completely inexcusable. No family should ever be treated this way.
