A stunning chateau style mansion sitting on 1.5 acres of beautifully kept gardens/lawn - a truly private and peaceful oasis RIGHT IN THE CITY.

We are central to all Major DMV destinations and cities.

12 minutes to Pentagon City
15 minutes to Washington, DC
16 minutes to Tysons Corner

The home rented out is the entire main (first) and second floor which totals 4,900 sq feet.

There will be no hosts or others sharing the areas of the house above being rented out.

The basement is a separate apartment with it’s own exterior entrance/exit, driveway, parking space and even garage.

The basement is not a part of this house being rented out. The basement can not be accessed from the interior of the home.

We have a lovely couple that resides part time in the separated basement of this home. They frequently travel for work and reside here a few weeks in the month.

They cannot enter the house you will be occupying and you cannot enter the space they live. We have 100+ reviews about the property, just reach out to me if you have any questions.

Top/Second Floor:
Master bedroom with full shower and whirlpool jetted soaking tub.

Two large spacious walk-in closets for the master bedroom.

A walk out balcony with views as far as Crystal City.

An additional private bedroom WITHIN the Master Bedroom suite, with its' own bed, nightstand, etc. - perfect for smaller children that want to stay in very close proximity to their parents. (Baby Bjorn Travel Crib available on request for nominal fee of $35 per stay - to cover cleaning and thorough sanitation of item)
Cable TV in this room.

Laundry washer and dryer is located in the Master bedroom suite.

The second bedroom has it's own private bath with shower, cable TV, a queen bed, and a walk-out balcony with the same beautiful views as the master bedroom.

The third and forth bedrooms share a jack and jill style bathroom with shower.
Each bedroom accommodates 4, with a full size bunk beds and matching twin beds. Each room has its own closet.

Main/First floor:
A 3 car garage, spacious kitchen with sun room, a formal dining room, sitting room, family room with Cable TV, and entertainment room directly connected to a covered patio/deck with grill and patio table + chairs.

We do not have any bedrooms on the main floor & there is a flight of stairs that need to be taken in order to access the second/top floor where the bedrooms are located.

There will be no hosts or others sharing the house being rented out.

The basement is not a part of this house being rented out. The basement can not be accessed from the interior of the home.

The house has a generator and the latest tankless heat water system, never have fear of being without electricity and always have hot water during your stay.

Blender & Keurig-style coffee maker with starter pods and tea is provided for all stays.

Fireplaces have all been closed for safety. A past incident left the entire house filled with smoke because the chimney damper was not opened when a fire was started. We have since closed access to the fireplaces at the property.

The gardens are absolutely lovely and instagram worthy with benches and well manicured pine trees for a peaceful evening after a long day exploring the city.

Animal-free zone: This house is an animal-free zone as the host’s elderly mother & caretaker are both asthmatic and highly allergic. We have found deep cleanings are still not able to fully rid the house of animal dander after an animal has stayed.

Perfect for our needs

We needed a place for my wife and I to stay with our 6 kids (5-14) while we visited with family in the area over the Easter weekend. This house exceeded our expectations. The kids loved all of the space that they had to play and hang out in the house. Highly recommended. We even spent a day at the nearby nature center which was beautiful and the perfect place for the kids to run around and play with their cousins.

Plenty of space. House was clean. Could use one or two more TVs and maybe another couch for one of the rooms. There are caretakers who reside in the secured basement. This should be communicated to potential renters.

Once a year my friends and I meet for a weekend to relax, laugh, dance etc...with no men and children. This house was accommodating for us all. There were beds for everyone plenty of bathrooms. This is an outstanding house.

Perfect location

We had a great visit. We wanted everyone to be comfortable in their own space while being together. We were very close to DC to visit monuments, but far enough away to enjoy the seclusion. Beautiful home

This home was both beautiful and spacious and was a lovely place for our whole family to be able to visit and enjoy our stay together while we were in town. Lots of good local restaurants a mile away from the property and the owner was amazing with any communication and questions we had. Family getaway

The property was beautiful and spacious. I was traveling with my son and daughter and my grandchildren. The grandchildren wanted to see where there parents grew up, so we planned the trip to revisit the area. The house had plenty of supplies, the only thing we had to provide was food. There was lots of space inside and out to chill out. Check in and out was easy. Wifi worked very well. The owner was understandable when we had to check out a day early. The only thing I wish we would have know was that one of the bedrooms is off the master, but it was easy for us to rearrange sleeping arrangements.

Large family visit

We stayed with 10 people and the large space was great and accommodated everyone. The house was very clean and in a safe neighborhood. The 5th bedroom is off a bathroom and does not have a separate enterance making it impossible to have privacy. The listing has pictures of furnature that are no longer at the house. The weeds and volunteer trees could be kept up. But otherwise the visit was great.

Great VA Stay

One of us inadvertently activated the alarm. We could not get it to stop. The mgr came right over and deactivated it. My six year old grandson called the house “Wayne Manor” due to the size and open floor plan. Recommend this house for a larger group. Awesome place.

Expansive, lovely home near DC but with limitations

Lots of lovely space inside and out with ample seating for large groups, both at table and on couches, decks, etc. Plenty of dishes and table ware. Pillows and linens were in good supply also. Natural light is wonderful throughout, but some rooms were lacking in supplemental lighting for evening and morning hours. Our major disappointment was the bedrooms. Two rooms were super comfortable but the 2 rooms with double bunk beds had very squeaky, metal frames with thin mattresses. These didn’t work well for couples. As currently set up, the house is best for 2 couples plus kids or singles (We had four couples and 6 children).

Really large, but a bit incomplete

Stayed 5 nights with 8 adults and 6 kids. Ample sleeping accommodations very large kitchen with 2 ovens and 2 microwaves for cooking for a large group and diverse meals. Excellent climate control. In sufficient silverware for a property of this size that sleeps so many. Ideal if it would have 2 dishwashers instead of one.

55 year High School reunion

Very lovely, very versatile space. There were 8 of us, and it was easy and comfortable for us to gather in several different spaces at this location. We sat together in the dining room for a dinner, the kitchen for all our breakfasts, the great room for one evening of visiting and the screened in porch for a couple of other evenings of wine and visiting. Good base for our visits to DC area

Great for extended family

We had a wonderful time here with our extended family of 13. The house was at a nice location for us to go explore Washington DC for a few days. The owners were excellent in their communication and I appreciated their prompt replies to any questions we had. The house worked great for us and we enjoyed our time here.

Great location

This house was perfect location for our trip to DC. Very close to the majority of the sites. The house is a little bit of a weird set up. But it worked. I would recommend the owners cleaning the carpets. They were pretty stained. There was also some things that were advertised at the property that weren’t there. There is no hot tub that is listed under pool/spa listing. Also the air hockey table doesn’t work and there are no balls for the foosball table. I don’t think you should put those things in your listing if they are not useable. The bunk beds could use a little tightening. The owner was nice and accommodated for the crib we needed for the baby. Overall a great place, just some things that need to be edited in the vrbo listing.

Family gathering for our daughter’s wedding

The home was beautiful and exactly as shown. We would like to give a shout-out to our host who handled a difficult mechanical breakdown and made us her top priority. She made sure we were accommodated and quickly taken care of while she fixed the problem. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in this area.
