The ideal location for a seaside holiday, Kannier Cottage is a detached holiday cottage, in an elevated position, overlooking the quiet conservation village of St Monans and the Firth of Forth. From your doorstep you can explore this picturesque village with its harbour and charming 17th and 18th century red pantiled buildings, enjoy a coffee on the harbourside or freshly caught seafood from the award-winning restaurant.
There are lovely coastal walks on the Fife Coastal Path which takes you to award-winning sandy beaches, pretty coves and historic buildings along the way. For keen cyclists, the Millennium Cycle Way runs through central Fife, with miles of quiet country roads, disused railways and forest tracks to explore. Just a little further along the coast is the bustling tourist harbour town of Anstruther and there are daily ferries and boat trips leaving between April and September that take you to the Isle of May, which is a National Nature Reserve. It is home to colonies of sea birds including puffins and the surrounding waters are the habitat of seal colonies. St Andrews is just 10 miles away and is well worth a visit with historic buildings, Sea Life Centre, boutique shops, and a wide range of bars and restaurants. This area is famous for its golf, with more than 40 golf courses in Fife, from the famous fairways of St Andrews to several traditional links courses and beautifully landscaped parkland and heathland courses.
Having spent your day exploring the area you can relax in the first floor seating area and enjoy the views with a glass of wine. The enclosed garden is a suntrap on warm days and a great place for the children to play. If sea food is on your menu, you can purchase locally caught fish and the dining room is ideal for you all to enjoy that special meal and plan the next dayâs activities. Beach 250 yards. perfect for 4 senior golfers experiencing St Andrews dream. Location within 20 minutes of 20 world class courses. St Monans setting with outstanding views and historic sites. 4 adequate BR and all necessary accessories. 1 small negative we were asked to phone before departure but several attempts without success. We would recommend as a clean compact, great value accomodations.
