Detached coach house in grounds of listed Manse, Pittenweem
The coach house was where the Minister's pony and trap was originally kept in the grounds of this Georgian listed Manse. Now converted to comfortable, modern accommodation it comprises two spacious bedrooms, one ensuite king size and one twin with separate bathroom. Downstairs there is a sitting room with original stable door opening leading to small patio area, separate kitchen, dining room and an additional downstairs bathroom. High thread count Egyptian cotton bed linen, fluffy towels and robes and complementary toiletries all provided, along with all the essentials you need for a relaxing holiday. Private parking for two cars. Patio area with bbq and outdoor furniture. Ideally situated for exploring the East Neuk coastline and the nearby historic university town of St Andrews.
My daughter and I stayed for Christmas 2024 for 4 nights, with our 2 dogs. Cottage is lovely and really homely, we visited near by Elie, St Andrews and Leven while staying. Had a great holiday andand Christmas break
We enjoyed a very relaxing 3 night break with our 2 dogs. The coach house waz immaculately clean, cosy and well equiped. It was easy to access the coastal path .
We absolutely enjoyed our stay in the coach house. The House is perfectly situated in walking distance to the harbour of Pittenweem. It is well equipped and the hosts obviously have a very good taste.
Very nice place. Enjoyed the city and the location. Owner was nice. However, really hard getting out of driveway. Need a mirror so accident can be avoided. Was nearly hit once.
The Coach House was exactly as it was described - immaculately clean, beautifully furnished with a well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, and luxury bed linen, towels and toiletries. It also has a lovely little courtyard for alfresco dining or sitting out in and enjoying the sunshine. Host Kirsten couldnât have been more helpful and was very prompt in answering any questions we had. The cottage is perfectly located for the many coastal and inland walks we did. I wouldnât hesitate to recommend The Coach House to family and friends and would definitely return again. All in all it was perfect! Thanks Kirsten.
We had a lovely stay at the coach house so cosy and comfortable everything you could possibly need. Great walks for our greyhound fantastic weather. Definitely recommend đ
Great location, excellent host, lovely, well equipped little house.
The village of Pittenweem is lovely. Coastal path walks, couple of good cafes, village shop, 2 pubs serving food. The house is 5mins from coastal path and walks in either direction are great. And the buses are good to get a lift back to right outside the house. The house is warm and cosy. 3 good bathrooms, all with showers and a galley type kitchen which is well equipped. The host was really helpful, answering all my queries about the locality and the house very quickly so if you want to visit the area I'd definitely recommend. My only tip:- Tall guests should mind their heads upstairs on the sloping ceiling.
Well presented cottage in a delightful seaside town. Kitchen is small, but with all amenities including washing machine and dishwasher. Could have benefited from more crockery and cutlery to make dishwasher use more economical. Close to busy main road with a bus stop right outside bedroom windowâŠ.bit of a shock when opening blind to find double decker bus right outside.
A very pleasant week in a lovely part of the country.
This is a great cottage! The location is very convenient for everything, and the Coach House felt like home for my entire stay. Kirsten was a great host and I hope to come back again!
This coach house was absolute heaven, it had everything you needed and more. The attention to detail and quality of furnishings was outstanding. All the thoughtful added extras made for a most enjoyable stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The property is well located in the lovely fishing village of Pittenweem , from which the other East Neuk fishing villages can also be visited. Good quality kitchen appliances, bed linen and towels, added to our enjoyment. The local bus service ( which stops outside the property) can be used to turn a scenic coastal walk into a circular route. Excellent fresh fish in the local restaurants.
Cottage was on a main road but this didnât bother us. It was easy to travel around the beautiful East Neuk. Bus stopped outside if you didnât want to use your car. Pittenweem is a lovely village and has individual shops and cafes.
Very friendly, helpful and communicative host. Cottage was beautifully furnished and decorated. On a main road but 2 minutes from the harbour, which was so picturesque and peaceful, with some nice independent shops and cafes. Had a really lovely holiday there, spending the last night playing crazy golf in the evening sun, on a course which overlooked the sea, then a swim in the tidal pool. Would highly recommend.
Excellent week in the property, some traffic noise but we werenât bothered about that. Lots of towels and robes, even showering products supplied. 5 stars from us.
The Coach House delivered exactly what we were looking for.
Accommodation was lovely and well kitted out, with space for both myself, husband, son and our bulldog!
The rooms were immaculate with attention to detail along with little extras.
The area was perfect for a chilled out family break with good walks, fresh sea air and villages right along the coast to explore.
With the sun shining the new outdoor swimming area was a dream to have on our doorstep, with another right along the road at St Monans.
Kirsten was a super host, very helpful and attentive, particularly in our struggles at the start.
As we had our dog with us it wouldâve been the icing on the cake if the garden area was slightly bigger, enclosed and with a grass section but a very small downside to what was fantastic accommodation.
Very comfortable house in a lovely fishing village
Pittenweem is a great place to stay and we loved exploring the area. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a good break in the middle of the pandemic.
