External Living | Private Pool & BBQ
The wonderful holiday home lays in 300m2 fenced outdoor area and is embellished with a 37m2 private heated (with extra fee) swimming pool (1,40 meters deep). Guests can lounge to the swim-up loungers before idling back for al fresco barbecues under sunset skies. BBQ facilities (Gas) are available outdoors, offering a stylish al fresco space for enjoying an evening tipple in the lovely shaded dining area. Light the barbecue to celebrate long summer evenings. The outdoor area provide the most beautiful and informal space to make meals together, have long, late night conversations after a long day of adventure. A shaded comfy lounge area is also available outdoors, in order to enjoy your coffee and drinks by the pool.

Outdoor Pool Heating Policy: 

- Pool Temperature | Heating temperature could vary up to 26°C subject to the outdoor weather conditions.

- Preferred Months | Pool heating is typically used during the months March - Mid June & October, November.
- Advance Notice | 2 days’ notice prior arrival is mandatory for the pool to reach the optimal temperature.

- Additional Fees | 50€/day
- Booking Duration | Pool heating is exclusively bookable for the entire stay, at the cumulative cost as outlined above.

- Weather Conditions | When the outside temperature is above 25 °C or in case of rain it shall not operate. Kindly note that a pool cover is not available.

Location Overview

Solis Villa takes prime position in Kavros area, this area of Crete island is great for families with children and known for its relaxed and laid back vibe while still being well connected to the main cities Rethymno and Chania. In the waterfront of the village there is a wonderful, long sandy beach with clear shallow waters that stretches until Rethymnon city. The sandy beach is very well organised with umbrellas, sun loungers, showers, and beach bars. Visitors will have access to several amenities (within 3 minutes walking distance), including restaurants and cafes or bars, so you can spend the whole day here. There are also unorganized sections for those who prefer a quieter spot. While it is on the main road between Chania and Rethymno and relatively close to Georgioupoli, the beach is always quiet.

Locations near Kavros include:
-Lake Kournas (10 minutes driving) is the largest natural lake in Crete and is located in an enchanting landscape, between the west slopes of the White Mountains and the fertile plane of Georgioupolis. Lake Kournas and its surroundings constitute a very important ecosystem for Greece, as the wider area of Apokoronas is one of the very few areas of Crete where plenty of fresh water is stored throughout the year.

-Georgioupoli (5 minutes driving) is one of the most popular seaside resorts, located east of Chania on the way to Rethymno. The beach of Georgioupoli is a sandy expanse of more than 12 km, with clear blue-green waters. They are known to be quite cold because this is where the river Almyros meets the sea. It is a very well organised beach with umbrellas, sun beds and showers and lots of options for water sports enthusiasts.

-The springs of Argiroupoli (15 minutes driving). This charming settlement is a popular destination for visitors to the island. Previously known as Lappa from the ancient city that stood there, the village is full of traces of modern and ancient civilisations, and is a traditional settlement. The springs of Argiroupoli and the small waterfalls complete this idyllic scene where visitors come to enjoy a meal and the natural landscape.

- The highway connecting Rethymno and Chania in close proximity, makes it easy to move around and travel almost anywhere in Crete and explore amazing landscapes, historical sights, wonderful beaches and beautiful rustic villages. There is a bus stop located within just 300 meters away from the Villa. There are also several excursions available by a public little train to enjoy wonderful nearby locations.

-The famous city of Rethymno conveniently located within 20 minutes driving distance away, is an ideal tourist destination for visitors who wish to explore the rich cultural heritage and the natural beauties of Crete. This well-organised city offers to visitors a variety of picturesque routes to follow and numerous historical monuments to visit.
