Welcome to 'Villa Astro'

Set in the picturesque village of Argaka, surrounded by gorgeous beaches, tumbling mountains and sea views as far as the eye can see, Villa Astro is a dream holiday home for the whole family.

This stunning, spacious villa is set in a serene secluded spot surrounded by fields, palms and citrus trees. Argaka is a very affluent and tranquil location situated just outside the traditional yet vibrant town of Polis just North of Paphos.

After leaving the coastal road, the villa is easily accessed by a private road. The villa is at the end of this small road so nobody ever passes. All amenities are close by and there is a newly constructed promenade which assists with walking along the coastline in both directions. Several Tavernas as well as the beach itself forms part of a beautiful stretch of coastline going all the way to Latchi and the Akamas Nature Reserve in one direction and & 'Pomos' (the last village in the South of Cyprus) in the other. Santa Barbara Beach Bar is just 100 metres away from Villa Astro. It has swings, a changing area and sun loungers and does lovely dishes if you fancied a spot of lunch after a relaxing afternoon at the beach.

It's just a 5 minute walk (300m) to Liza's Place' which is a homely taverna with kind owners serving delicious Cypriot food. There is even an Irish Bar just 1km away which has Wi-Fi, entertainment, great food/drinks selection and overlooks the Sea from its veranda. They also run a kids activity club in the summer months.

The villa has four en suite bedrooms, sleeping eight (one or two infants extra would be permitted). A/C is throughout the villa and it complete with modern conveniences which include wireless internet, Satellite TV in the lounge (Premium channels including sports, music and cinema) & DVD player. The fully equipped kitchen features a gas hob and extractor fan, dishwasher, microwave and the washing machine is in the upstairs utility area.

The outdoor area features a 10m by 5m private swimming pool (with heating option), sun loungers and parasols, poolside dining area seating 8 shaded under a wooden pergola, pool table, table tennis court, kids play area and stone BBQ for alfresco dining. Upstairs features two large verandas, both offering spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea, glistening coastline and spectacular mountains.

The pristine beach is a one/two minute walk away along with the lovely little beach cafe. All other amenities such as traditional Cypriot restaurants, bars, a bakery and two mini-markets, are also within walking distance or a very short car journey away. Villa Astro is a stunning property, set in a beautiful location, making it a very exciting new addition to our Paphos portfolio.


DETAILS OF THE INTERIOR

Ground Floor

As you enter the villa you will be welcomed into the bright, homely kitchen/living area. On your right there is the lounge which features a three piece sofa set, ornamental stone fireplace, glass top coffee table, flat screen satellite TV and triple French doors leading to the gorgeous pool area.

To the left you will find the fully equipped kitchen which hosts a grand wooden dining table seating eight. This is bright open room filled with natural light and views to the outdoor pool table and garden.

As we leave the kitchen/ lounge area we arrive at the two ground floor bedrooms. The first room is the double room with views of the private pool area which features a king sized bed, built in wardrobes, chest of drawers, mirror, en suite shower room and French doors leading outdoors to the relaxing pool area. The second bedroom is a twin room (can be made double if required) and it too features built in wardrobes, chest of drawers and mirror, en suite shower room and a patio door leading out to the garden.

First Floor

As we walk up the stunning marble staircase we arrive at the upper landing. Here you will find the washing machine along with a sink and built in cupboards. Straight ahead is the romantic master suite featuring a king sized bed, built in wardrobes, catape cheval mirror, en suite bathroom and two sets of patio doors; the triple set leads out to the shared veranda which offers incredible panoramic sea view and meditating sounds of the waves when falling asleep. The second set of French doors lead out to the private veranda on which overlooks the sea and surrounding fields and mountains.

The second bedroom is a twin room (can also be made a double if required). It, like the master features built in wardrobes, a catape cheval mirror, en suite bathroom and triple patio doors leading out to the large shared veranda.

Please note that the owner can supply 2 cots and 2 highchairs for younger children. There is also a stairgate

Flyscreens are fitted to the windows of bedrooms and kitchen. There are hairdryers in each bedroom. Aphrostrom Matresses have been added for your comfort. Flexible Bed Arrangements (The twin beds can be made to doubles on request.)

**The current IPTV system features most UK Sky channels (premium sports, documentaries, movies & music included) as well as many channels in German, Spanish and Russian. There is also an automatically updated Video Library with films, series and more**.


DETAILS OF THE EXTERIOR

Ground Floor

As you walk up the palm tree lined driveway towards the villa you will be greeted by the front porch and east pergola. Under the wooden pergola there is a pool table and seating area for those fun evening game nights.

To the front of the villa you will come to the large open pool area. The glistening private swimming pool (with heating option) is 10m by 5m and is surrounded by eight sun loungers, two parasols, four drinks tables and a traditional stone BBQ. There is also a sofa set allowing an outdoor lifestyle at all times. of day and night.

The lounges' triple patio doors lead out to the outdoor poolside dining area which features a large dining table seating eight and is sheltered under a classic wooden pergola.

As we walk around we will pass through the garden which surrounds the villa and features olive trees, greenery and a table tennis court. There is also a kids play area

First Floor

The top floor verandas are the place to be during the spectacular sunsets. The large shared veranda can be accessed by either of the two first floor bedrooms. It has a table and two chairs and overlooks the swimming pool (lit to perfection at night) and offers views of the sparkling Mediterranean Sea and distant mountains.

The second veranda is exclusive only to the master suite. It is accessed via the French doors and also has a seating area where you can relax with a glass of wine under the twinkling Milky Way.

Villa Astro is situated on the coastline of Argaka, a beautiful and somewhat unspoilt Cypriot Village sandwiched between the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea and some spectacular mountains filled with pine trees.

Argaka is home to a number of traditional Cypriot restaurants, a beach bar and an Irish Bar as well as a bakery and 2 mini-markets. Many of these amenities are in walking distance of the villa or within a very short car journey. Travel a little way and you reach the bigger town of Polis.

There is plenty of activity to choose from, whether you wish to dine in one of the many restaurants, shop at some larger supermarkets, hire mountain bikes, quad bikes or just watch the world go by in the ambience of the traditional village square.

The nearby Latchi beach is renowned as one of the best on this side of the island and not as crowded as the beaches in and around Paphos itself (which can be reached by car in 30 minutes or under). Latchi beach is famous for its clear blue sea, soft white sand and a great selection of watersports which are readily available. Take one of the boat rides (or even hire your own) to the ‘blue lagoon', have a swim and/or snorkel, then come back to the pretty harbour/fishing port and have the famous ‘Fish Meze' where you will be served approx 20 dishes including some of the freshest catches of the day whilst watching the world go by.

For the more adventurous, you can enter the 'Akamas' Nature reserve and go all the way round to 'Lara Beach' famous for its turtles and wonderful beach. If it is unspoilt Cyprus you are looking for, this is a great area to visit. You may even venture into the nearby villages of Peristerona, Lysos and Miliou or further on to Kathikas (with its vineyards and wineries), Droushia and Panagia. Other fantastic scenery can be taken in at Cedar Valley and the Troodos mountain range where in Winter, you can even Ski!Paphos airport is 1 hour away by very good quality roads with English road signs. Visit Argaka and you won't be disappointed.

''We had no issues with the villa and found it well equipped for the length of stay we had.

The location was perfect for what we wanted—nice and quiet, and close to the coast.

We know the area well and have visited many times, enjoying cooking and using the BBQ ourselves, so we did not go to many restaurants. We did visit the fish restaurant in the bay at Pomos, where we have always had good seafood.

We were satisfied with the service provided by LetsRentOnline.com.

''Good villa, lots of room and good layout inside and out for our family. The location was good for us, quiet but that's what we wanted. In hindsight a car would have been useful. The weather was great for mid october. We enjoyed everywhere we ate. The dancing, music and buffet at the traditional restaurant locally was very good as was our meal there previously. We also really enjoyed Noma in Latchi.

Really good service from you as agents, thank you. Locally also excellent. Georgiou was really helpful and called by a couple of times to check everything was ok for us and even brought an orange cake which was delicious. The provisions in the villa for our arrival were very helpful, and all instructions and details were clear for villa use.

''Very nice villa well equipped in the kitchen and with a lovely pool and area with enough sun beds . Bedrooms upstairs with bath en-suites are beautiful bedrooms down stairs with shower en-suites perhaps slightly less modern in bed linen . For an all adult party stay it would be better if both upstairs were king size beds but can understand why they were twins (we were pleased our instructions to make all rooms as doubles was completed ) nice touch with pool table and table tennis. Overall excellent we really liked it and enjoyed our stay -we would recommend this villa to others

We have driven past Argaka before and like it . We thought the location opposite Santa Barbara beach bar was fantastic and over the road to the sea and pebble beach . ( we swam in the sea and it was great ) The new coastal path pavement is also great and helpful just to go to the Irish bar or coffee shop. The directions you provided with the big supermarket was also extremely helpful and useful in that it’s not far away either

Santa Barbara beach bar is excellent for breakfast or dinner and lovely position on the beach . Paphos harbour walk and shops is a good day out. Troodos mountains are also close if you have a car

Great email exchanges and instructions for arrival , also good comms with the property manager Georgios . Would definitely feel happy about booking another property with your company

''We had a great holiday in Villa Astro. Large airy rooms with A/C not that we needed to use it. Weather was good. Location was peaceful, near the beach could hear the waves and plenty of bird song. We loved the Santa Baraba bar situated on the beach within 2 min walking distance. Great food lots of choices and great cocktails ! Great play park for the children too. Near the beach and bar.
There were other restaurants nearby but we didn’t try them. Polis and lahtchi are worth a visit with bars and shops.

The communication from the company were excellent and local agent Georgios was brilliant. Have some intention to return in next couple of years to Cyprus and other Greek islands. Many thanks we had a great holiday. Kind regards
