Please don't stay here.
I wish I had seen more of the other negative reviews before booking here. Before going into the details, I'd like to point out that both the Vacasa property management customer service and the in-person maintenance worker were very kind and nice. However, the house itself was a disaster. When we first arrived it was clear there was not a cleaning in some time. The carpet had lots of dirt and crumbs in it. The kitchen counters had food crumbs and mess on them. There was green mold in the kitchen cabinets. The freezer was leaking water onto the floor when we arrived. We spent the first hour cleaning up the house. Next, the house was at 59* when we arrived and it was middle of winter in the mountains. We tried to turn on the thermostat but found that it was not working. I called maintenance and the property manager who sent someone to check. They also could not turn on the heater and found that the air filter in the register was filthy. They told us we'd have to only use the fire place and burn wood to keep warm or try the small space heaters. When we turned on the space heaters that were provided, it blew the fuse and the power and WIFI went out. So we had to wait on the maintenance team to provide boxes of wood that we had to burn to stay warm, but the bedrooms remained freezing. The location in Arnold, CA is perfect and the surrounding area is very nice. But, I can't stress enough that this house needs so much serious cleaning and upkeep before anyone should consider booking here again.

The Cabin is nice, but NOT CLEAN.... Windows Dirty, Tub & Sinks Dirty, Needs A Good Vaccuming. Dirty between Tiles in Grout lines in Kitchen. Cutting board was Caked in old Dirt & Grease on sides....All the wood is dry & needs cleaning. Cabinets, ...etc. Stove top was Greasy.....There was only 2 sticks of wood 4 the fire. Nothing to start fire.... No outside lighting to get from car...THE PARKING IS REDICULIOUS.... The most poorly equipped Pantry of any rental We ever stayed in... Lock boxes didn't work.... People I spoke to were nice, but, they weren't the problem.. Hoste knew nothing about local info.... I'm not sure I could have good consciousness, about renting this place the way it presented....No Organization in Cupboards. Too bad for such a cute place.

Don't arrive after dark
The driveway needs some safety improvement: some lighting or possibly edge reflectors. In the dark you are simply dropping over the edge of the road into the unknown. And when we arrived, the door code didn't work, and we had no cell service to call customer service for help. Fortunately we were able to stand close enough to the house to be able to log into the wifi to make a call to get the backup door code. Nice enough cabin, but the check in process was not great. And that driveway needs some serious help.

The place was great for our family of 4, the kids enjoyed the jacuzzi upstairs, the kitchen had everything you need to cook and the restrooms had plenty of towels. There were a lot of table games and toys for the kids to play with.

Fine for a few days
The cabin is fine for a base of operations to explore the area. The place is cozy or cluttered depending on your point of view. Bring your own cutting board and sharp knife, as well as sugar and salt. The door to the deck is hard to close.
