The Lounge and Bar are both charming and well thought out, and the overall vibe of the place feels modern and intentional. The pool area is nicely done tooâcomfortable lounge chairs, and when the staff is attentive, itâs a great space to relax. But the staff is hit or miss. Some interactions were been warm and welcoming, but others felt flat-out dismissive. Itâs a bit jarring when youâre paying a premium and donât know whether youâll be treated like a guest or an inconvenience.
Then thereâs the roomâand this is where the real disappointment sets in.
The Murphy bed, which might sound charming in theory, dominates the room (probably 12x12 at best). Once itâs pulled down, thereâs little to no space left. Thereâs no desk, which in todayâs world feels like a BIG oversight, if not outright shamefulâespecially at this price point. Not even a chair to sit in. You ARE either in your bed or standing. If you travel with more than a small carry-on, one bag ends up wedged next to the bed.
Lighting? No individual bedside lamps, just general overhead lighting that doesnât create any kind of relaxing or practical environment. Itâs clear that form was chosen over function here.
The bathroom does have a great shower, and Iâll give credit where itâs due there. But again, no counter space! Nowhere to set a toiletry bag. The minimalist sink may look nice in photos, but itâs frustrating to use in real life.
Bottom lineâThe St.
