The kitchen is beautifully finished with a granite work surface, and in the cosy bedroom youâll find a double bed and en-suite facilities. For that extra element of luxury the property benefits from underfloor heating throughout. Outside is a small seating area perfect for enjoying the goings on of village life.
Set around a pond and village green, Parwich is home to a delightful country pub and makes a great base for exploring the surrounding Peak District countryside. Keen walkers will relish the excellent routes available across the nearby High Peak & Tissington Trails, together with Dovedale and Carsington Water. Nearby youâll also find the pretty villages of Ilam (20 mins) and Alstonefield (10 mins), and the market towns of Ashbourne (15 mins) and Leek (35 mins). The magnificent country houses of Chatsworth House and Kedleston Hall are a 30-minute drive, and as for any thrill seekers there is Alton Towers!
The cottage is in a good location for walks and visiting interesting towns without travelling far.
The cottage is in a good location for walks and visiting interesting towns without travelling far.The lounge and kitchen area is comfortable. The bedroom less so due to one side of the bed being against the wall.
Location was so peaceful, yet in easy reach of Ashbourne for supermarkets.
Location was so peaceful, yet in easy reach of Ashbourne for supermarkets. Perfectly placed for walking and exploring. Lovely pub 2 minutes up the road. Lovely owner. Just what we would wish for, for a short relaxing break. Would definitely return.

We stayed at The Old Damson Tree Barn for Christmas (5 nights) in total.
We stayed at The Old Damson Tree Barn for Christmas (5 nights) in total. It was one of the most enjoyable times we have had.The cottage was well equipped throughout.. The underfloor heating was fantastic and there was a wood burner but we were warm enough so didnĂąâŹâąt need to use it.The kitchen was newly fitted and so was the shower room.As it was Christmas the owner even put up decorations including a tree near the window which was amazing. The location was at the edge of the village but only two minutes walk to the friendly pub called The Sycamore Inn which also had a small shop inside.Parking was excellent loads of room at the front of the house. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner Judith who was very friendly and explained what we needed to know about the cottage and then left us to get on and enjoy this lovely place. We could go on but this cosy cottage is fantastic so much that we are coming here again in the Summer.A big thanks to Judith for making our Christmas a one to remember Ă°ĆžĆœâŠĂ°ĆžÂÂ»Ă°ĆžĆœâù€ïžÂ
