The Editor was a great discovery. The location is great right at the edge between the Plaka / Monasteraki area and the nicer shopping Kolonaki area. Breakfast terrace is beautiful and our room was great. We traveled with our kids and we all felt we had a lot of space in our shared room. We would definitely stay again in this hotel

Our stay at The Editor had its positives, but overall it didn’t quite meet our expectations based on the presentation on Expedia. We were given a room that appeared to be part of an annex or separate wing connected to the main hotel building. The room itself felt more basic and worn compared to the photos online, and the door required a strong push to close properly. When we returned one day to find it left ajar after housekeeping, which was concerning. On the positive side, the welcome at check-in was warm, and the staff kindly assisted with our luggage up the stairs to our room. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept well throughout our stay. However, the in-room amenities could be improved. The TV offered mostly non-English channels (only BBC was available), and no local Greek channels were accessible. Shower amenities and the hair dryer were also underwhelming for a hotel of this category. Unfortunately, the departure experience was a little rushed. While we were nearly ready to check out, we received a call at exactly 11:00 AM reminding us to leave, which felt a bit abrupt given we were already packing up. The best part of our stay was the location, that was just a short walk (about 2 minutes) to the train station and surrounded by great restaurants and rooftop bars. Overall, while some aspects were enjoyable, the room we were assigned did not match our expectations from the listing.

Top location and wonderful little hotel

We had an excellent stay, the hotel was perfectly located, staff were friendly and efficient, the room was lovely, spacious and tidy. Breakfast was also very good, fresh and tasty. Definitely coming back when in Athens!

We booked this hotel at the last minute due to changes in our travel plans. The room was very spacious and clean, friendly front desk staff. Location was perfect and close to many of the main attractions. Would love to stay here again if we visit Athens in the future.

It did not feel like a 4 star hotel as listed on most websites. We arrived at night & the street was small & noisy & full of graffiti. The lobby area was small too with only one clerk who was busy so had to wait a while to be checked in. On one occasion, the elevator was not working so had to use the stairs. Carpets were dirty & stained. No view at all. Breakfast buffet was minimal though made to order eggs etc were available. Breakfast was understaffed too but staff was good. Rooms were spacious (junior suite) & clean. Staff was courteous & helpful. Location was convenient but given the condition of the street, I would not recommend this hotel. Our friends were charged for bottles of water they did not use which left a bad taste in the mouth at check -out.

Much smaller hotel than expected. Room was a decent size. Staff was friendly but A/C kept stopping so we had a difficult time sleeping. Also TV randomly turned on several time during the night. By the time they fixed it we were checking out. Location was great.

Location superb. In the heart of Athens, all sights walkable. Spotlessly clean. Great breakfast. Friendly helpful staff both at the reception and the breakfast restaurant. Minor issue, bed too low and a bit soft. Wife had issue in that there is no mirror when drying her hair. But overall great hotel find. Recommend!
