Conveniently Located

I loved this unit; it’s conveniently located on the 1ST floor by the indoor/outdoor pools, elevator, steps, and easy access to the beach! I appreciated that this unit was adequately stocked with kitchen appliances like I have in my home! I will stay here again!

Amenities Great - Condo Filthy

We love to stay at APATB for the amenities and location, but the condo is so dirty. I never leave bad reviews but this is just unacceptable for the price we pay for a week. The comforters are so nasty and sour smelling that I had to pull all of them and buy my own blankets/sheets for us to sleep on. The dining room table was so sticky you couldn’t touch it. The bathroom had hair on the floor (I won’t elaborate on what type of hair). The carpet is so dirty our feet were black after walking on it and we had to wear socks to keep our feet clean. This condo needs a very DEEP cleaning as it obviously hasn’t had one in years! I gave it a 3 star on “overall rating” only because of the great amenities and beach acces
 We love APATB but not in this condo again :(

Filthy!!! Beware
 you will not be able to relax due to the lack of cleaning prior to arrival!

While the resort was nice with all of the amenities, the condo itself was disgusting. Counters were not wiped and floors were not swept prior to our arrival. The tubs had black mildew in it that I easily cleaned but I figured that is why we paid a cleaning fee. We end up picking up cleaning supplies at the grocery store. Items such as sunglasses, change, batteries, hair ties, etc that were left from other guests were on counters, shelves and little trays and baskets around the condo. I did not expect the most updated condo based on the pictures but booked because of all the amenities for our young family. However, I did not expect to spend part of our vacation cleaning the condo after traveling all day. Save yourself the hassle and book somewhere that will actually use the cleaning fee to prepare for your arrival.

Family spring break

We loved the location and size of the property. We were disappointed with how dirty the condo was. We did find out we were the first renters of the season, but still feel like it should have been thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. The management company came right away when we let them know one of the beds were broken and one of the TVs was not working properly. We definitely feel like the property could use a deep clean and some updates.

Needs a deep clean and to be updated - stay somewhere else!

We routinely stay at condos at A Place at the Beach and we love the location and easy access to the beach and pool. However, we won't be staying in this unit again - it needs to be cleaned, updated, and repaired. It was clear that the unit had not been vacuumed or wiped down prior to our arrival. The carpet is ripped, the walls and furniture are dirty, and it needs some TLC. It's also missing some nice touches (like a shower curtain liner, hand soap in the bathrooms, etc.). We paid for the linens package on top of the daily rate since we were only there for three nights (it's not included for short stays), so this was a pretty expensive trip and the value of the unit is not worth the cost they are charging. We didn't receive a parking pass from the realty company, nor were we told that we needed to also check in with the office at A Place at the Beach, and the security guard at the gate told us that the company should have provided that for us. There are some other fantastic condos in APATB that cost way less and are much nicer - choose one of those instead!

Do NOT rent this unit. Unit was filthy! I spent the first 2 hours cleaning from top to bottom.

A Place at the Beach is a great place for a family vacation, but I will never rent this unit again. The unit is rundown and badly in need of a deep cleaning. First Coast Realty apologized and refunded the cleaning fee, but what a horrible beginning to a holiday weekend.

A Wonderful Time

We had a great week at APATB! This condo has a great view of the pool and we were able to enjoy the music from the porch on Friday. Being a family of 5, we usually feel pretty cramped in vacation rentals- but not here. Definitely plenty of room!

Needs Attention

Check in was simple and the property was ready early. When arriving the unit was musty smelling and hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. The shower liners were dingy and the kitchen floor was so dirty that my socks were black. The comforters had not been washed in probably years. The drapes and throw blankets were sweaty smelling. The air return was so thick with dust. The carpet was damp just outside the closet to the AC unit. I reported it immediately but maintenance never came. When checking out, I dropped the keys like instructed right outside the realty office in the locked box only to be questioned about whether I had vacated the premises. I was called on my way home and told that tenants were still in the unit and the police would be called. I explained over and over that I had dropped the keys in the box 30 minutes before check out. I was then told that the next tenants had gotten the keys out of the box and checked in early before the unit was cleaned. I did not like the way I was accused of not vacating the property. Overall the price I paid for the unit was overpriced especially since the unit needed cleaning and updating. The mattresses were thin and hard. I won’t rent from this property again. I probably would have overlooked the cleanliness if I hadn’t had been accused of not vacating the property after check out.

Relaxing and fun filled vacation

We really enjoyed our stay. The unit was exactly as we expected. It was clean and enjoyable. The location is fantastic, right by the pool and the beach. We loved that it was on the first floor so we could get anywhere fast and easily. The bedroom furniture in the kids bedroom needs some work. Otherwise, everything was perfect for our stay.

Perfect place!

After booking, I read several reviews of this particular property (backwards...I know) & many said it wasn't as clean as they would like so I was a bit concerned. We have stayed at this complex twice before so I knew the amenities were great. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. New couches were there, the carpet in the bedrooms had been replaced & it looked as though most of the condo had been painted. It is such a cute place! The kitchen has just about every gadget you could want & tons of dishes. The place itself is in the PERFECT location to both the indoor pool and outdoor pool & is so close to the ocean. We had 6 people stay...4 adults and 2 children. There was plenty of room for us to all have our own space. Of the three units we have stayed in at this property, this is by far my favorite.

Place needs upgrades

Place needs some upgrades. Major appliances in kitchen are newer and worked well. Washer/dryer is combo in which you can only wash or dry, not do both at same time. Lint has accumulated in the back of the dryer so much the alarm is always on when running. Sofas and other furniture are showing age and in dire need of replacement. Mattresses are not comfortable. No non-stick cookware available. Always have to sign in to WiFi. Cable never worked. Glad I had a fire stick to use. Door was extremely hard to open. Best thing about the property was the outdoor pool with the slide. But game room was nonexistent. Looked like it was in a building that had to be shut down. Put put area was old and in bad shape. Not many great places to eat close by, have to go to Morehead City, which isn’t far, but a shame Atlantic Beach doesn’t really have anything to offer

Very nice property with tons of things to do on site and just steps from the beach!

Really liked the quiet location of this property and the proximity to the beach. Wish the weather had cooperated more so we could have enjoyed all of the activities this location offered. We are already planning to visit again soon when it is warmer!!!
