Bach on Burrell

This is the perfect weekend getaway in a romantic Bach with fantastic views across the bay. Relax in the private spa or enjoy a fine Waiheke wine on the balcony amidst the call of native birds and the sound of the waves below.
Stunning open plan interiors flow out onto a cantilevered deck .

Bedroom has a Queen bed with mattress topper recently added to ensure a comfortable night`s sleep .
Bathroom with shower, toilet and vanity.
Kitchenette, with fridge and microwave and Nespresso machine.
Lounge, smart TV with Netflix, DVD player, stereo, wireless internet access, and gas fireplace.
Dining table with seating for 4.

Large decks for maximum sun with wide views, tables, chairs and umbrellas provided, BBQ and off road parking with concrete driveway. Deck level two, has a relaxing secluded spa, with out-door setting, perfect recipe to read and unwind.

Private 10 minute walkway down to Blackpool beach, from there it is a 10 minute walk up to Oneroa village. There is also a walkway on the other side of the road, about 4 houses up: this leads to Lannan Road and from there is is a short 5 minute walk to Surfdale village where there are various eateries and shops.

15 min walk to little Oneroa Beach. A short drive or 20 min walk into Big Oneroa Beach and village with a variety of shops, banks, the post office, gas station, cafes & restaurants. The village also includes various Art Centres, a Four Square superette, Fruit & Veg shops and 2 Liquor stores. Oneroa is the only place you will find ATM machines.
Only 5 minute drive to the passenger ferry located at Matiatia and approximately 10 minutes to the car ferry at Kennedy Point.

Linen is provided (sheets, bath towel, tea towels etc). but you need to bring your own Beach/Spa towels.
Laundry: Washing machine and dryer for stays of 4 nights or more only.
If you can not travel to our property because of Covid Level lockdowns i.e. level 4 or 3, then we are happy for you to either transfer your booking dates to another time or get a full refund.

Wonderful oasis

We stayed here to celebrate our 3rd anniversary. It was a perfect spot with glorious views over the water. Great sun and a spa to finish off the day I would totally recommend to a couple looking for a special spot for a romantic weekend away.

This property is all that we were expecting and more. Stunning spot, private and delightful. Thoroughly enjoyed celebrating our 10th wedding annivesary in this gorgeous place. We will definitely be back, would love to try the fireplace out in winter.

This cottage was perfect! The view was amazing and we were awaken by birds chirping in the morning. Loved the cool, quiet location. The property manager was kind and attentive.

Weekend adventure

We really enjoyed this lovely location. Richard our host greeted us upon arrival and gave us some great ideas of events around the island. After being out all day, the spa pool was a wonderful treat to relax. The locals and shop keepers were all very friendly and accommodating.

Everything we needed.

Loved our time at the Bach. Perfect for our three night getaway. Richard had the heater on for our arrival in the evening and the glorious spa on the deck underneath the stars was at temp and so relaxing after a busy day of travel. So close to town and so easy to get around. The view to wake up to every day was amazing.

Gorgeous place to stay

This is a beautiful property. Its is well kept, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The view is stunning. There were well stocked food shops near by. There were takeaways and restaurants close by too. We loved staying here, we only wished it could have been for longer.

My wife and i booked a bach that was presented as having good views, spa and fireplace. It was our wedding anniversary.After booking, the host contacted us and told us that the bach was double booked and would we mind staying in a 2 bedroom place with better views. Naturally i accepted thinking it was something better to compensate us for their error. There was nothing said about no fireplace and no spa or that the supposed upgrade price was cheaper than the one we booked. The place that was supposedly “better” sells at a lower price than the one we booked. Yes it did have good views but if i knew it didn’t have a fireplace and spa i would have booked elsewhere. And yes never any word about compensation. This sort of thing is not good for the industry.

It was really disappointing given the glowing reviews and pictures. We were really excited given its marketed as a romantic spot and ideal for honeymooners - super underwhelming. Place seemed dated and crockery needed a good clean. The kitchen drawers smelt stale and it was difficult to wash up as there was no draining board and the sponge and scrubbing brush under the sink was used. The drain in the shower was broken and raised out of the hole everytime it was used. The display pillows on the bed also had an old smell and were definitely not washed
