We received a room upgrade when my husband an I arrived at check-in. We really appreciated the larger living space and the views were very special of the city and bay of Auckland!! Also, whenever we had a question or concern, someone was always there to assist us. This was a lovely stay for our last couple of nights in New Zealand!!

Very good with a couple of exceptions

Pros: Location and very helpful staff throughout.
Cons: Prices in bar and restaurant. Fix exercise equipment.
Location: Very good location for restaurants, shopping, and walk to wharf.
Wife and I stayed here for 3 nights prior to a cruise. Room was very good, clean quiet and restful. Convenient location and very helpful staff. Exceptions.... Exercise equipment in need of repair. 2 of the 5 cardio machines we're broken. Food and liquor prices were sky high. Next door were two great restaurants for both breakfast and dinner at half the price. $45 for 2 to airport in van compared to $35 for Uber. I recommend hotel, the pluses outweighed the exceptions.

Unfortunately we did have 2 of our cardio machines out or order recently while we waited for parts to be delivered and I apologise for this inconvenience. We have a large number of restaurants at Skycity, something to suit everyone and I am pleased you discovered both Depot and Fed Deli. Great location and place to stay after a LONG flight!!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, great lap pool and hot tub
Cons: no free breakfast
The location of the SkyCity Hotel was excellent....right across from the ScyCity tower and walking distance from the wharf with all the restaurants and ferries to various islands. There is also a free shuttle to take you around the area. The hotel was great after a long flight from the States...the plane arrived at 6:00 am and check in wasn't until 11:00. We had placed our bathing suits on the top of our suitcases so when we got to the hotel, we took our suits out, left our suitcases with the concierge and went up to the pool/hot tub/shower area. The lap pool is great, as is the hot tub...we were able to swim, hot tub and relax until our room was ready. The staff wee all extremely helpful.

Moderately overrated

Staff very helpful. Carpet in the room had seen a lot of partying. Pay extra for the harbour view so you do not have the exceptionally bright glare from the Sky City/Tower spotlights at night.

We are in the second phase of our refurbishment and the room rooms look fantastic with added features such as rain showers, nespresso machines, wall mounted plasmas, new beds, furnishings and carpets. great hotel in a pefect location.

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet, room was clean and comfortable
Cons: No free Internet, hotel dinning was expensive
We liked the hotel, the staff were helpful, the rooms comfortable. The location worked well for us, walking distance to downtown and everything we wanted to see. We ate in the restaurant once but thought it was overpriced. Some great places to eat near by. The rooms were airy and clean with a desk and sitting area. The bathrooms were spacious with a tub and shower and also very clean.
