Hike directly from the property, explore nearby Rock Lake, photograph wildlife or simply relax on your private deck as deer, moose, birds and other wildlife pass through the forest.

Don't miss Hoff Ridge, a spectacular hike starting from our property and featured on AllTrails, offering incredible 360-degree mountain views.

Dark Sky Destination

The AuroraSphere was built for stargazing.

With virtually no light pollution, the night sky comes alive with thousands of stars, the Milky Way stretching overhead and, when nature cooperates, unforgettable displays of the Aurora Borealis.

Good to Know

• The dome is reached via a private 300-foot uphill forest trail from the parking area and is not accessible by vehicle.

• On warm sunny days, the transparent dome naturally heats up. Curtains and our solar-powered air conditioning system help maintain a comfortable indoor temperature.

• The AuroraSphere is designed for only two guests.

• No pets permitted.

Every detail of the property was amazing. It got a little chilly at night but that was for the most Matt remedied with the fire pit. Julia and Gary were so kind and helped with any questions when we needed. The property area was very isolated and allowed for the perfect amount of alone time. Will be coming back

Awesome Dome Vacation

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rocky Mountain Escape. We were greeted warmly by our hosts and made to feel at home right away. Staying in the dome is the perfect balance between glamping and total comfort. The bed was comfortable and everything within and without the dome was perfectly appointed. Gary explained all the features of the dome patiently and efficiently. He also pointed out all the great hiking trails on site as well as the surrounding area. All the amenities, from the propane griddle to the fire table were such a fun treat. AND THE VIEW!!! WOW! Star-gazing will never be the same. Nothing beats laying in bed and looking up at the sky through the sky window of the dome. 360 views of the forest and wildlife from the comfort of a cozy chair. Staying at the Rocky Mountain Escape dome was a treat. We are already planning when we can return.
