They had several free dining opportunities. Breakfast was croissants, juice, coffee and fruit. Afternoon was chips and salsa beer. Happy hour was charcuterie tray and wine, after dinner was pie and ice cream. These were all delicious. The hotel is older and several upgrades could be made. Furniture is very old and scratched. Too much furniture for such a small room. Stand alone air conditioner very noisy. Large refrigerator, electric stove and dishwasher were not necessary for us. There are convenient eateries within walking distance. Shower door would not close properly and a few light bulbs needed to be replaced. We were near the beach and view from our balcony was asphalt parking structure. This was our first time and probably our last.

Loved staying here! Super cute place just steps from the beach. Several great touches like the receptions, dvds, snacks etc. Also very easy to park and get in and out of town if you want to check out other places too!

Adorable spanish style hotel just a block from the beach, with extras like daily wine receptions, breakfast, beer and salsa in the afternoon and pie for dessert in the evening. Nice roomy jacuzzi tub. Wish the toilets weren't so low to the ground (kinder on the knees for your older clients). Dining and shopping options just outside the front door. Beautiful beach with little crowds.

The only place to stay in the greater SLO area.

Stayed for two nights mid-week. It's really everything you can ask for in a small property so close to the beach, without all the major hotel chain fluff thown in. From the warm check in experience which included going over all amenities such as the pantry, wifi, parking and the welcome basket waiting for you in the room(which items can be exchanged for what you want in the pantry. Water for coke, popcorn for beef jerky. Just swap it, no hassle and nobody to talk to). The room has a full kitchen, a small island table in the middle with a nice Samsung TV and a balcony. The bathroom is famtastic as well with a large soaker tub and his + hers sinks. One thing to note is the toilet doesn't have a lid and it's located directly in front of the shower. As this is an older property that makes sense, just personal preference. In closing: from the curated decor and friendly staff, to the daily homemade croissants, wine tastings and nacho bar(oh and pie time from 8-9!), this is truly the only place you should stay in the Avila Beach, SLO or Pismo area. 11/10

This is a very charming small hotel (maybe 30 or so rooms?), kept in immaculate condition, and staffed by some of the friendliest people you could ever hope to meet. They went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The area is very scenic, and there are numerous stores and restaurants for those so inclined. We will definitely be back !
