Private Beach Front Cottage - Heart Rock Haven - Port Austin - Sunset Haven

This recently remodeled beauty sits on the shores of Lake Huron with a super sandy beach, facing west which brings the best sunsets in Michigan!.

Inside has been newly remodeled to include a brand new kitchen (cabinets and appliances) and full bath. Windows along every bit of the lakeside provide incredible views.

3 of the bedrooms each have a Queen Bed, there is also a Futon Couch that opens up into a double which allows for 8 to sleep comfortably.
All amenities which you would find in the comfort of your own home are included, just bring yourselves and enjoy.

During your stay, there is also plenty to do and see between Port Austin and Caseville. Enjoy the weekly Farmers Market or Kayak to Turnip Rock or the Pinnebog River. Ongoing festivals like Cheeseburger or Porch Fest are a ton of fun. Hike through the dunes of Port Crescent State Park or enjoy the Dark Sky Preserve at night to see the dancing stars or maybe even the Northern Lights if you’re lucky.

We do have a strict no pet policy - we do love fur babies, however, we have to respect the needs of all of our guests. Sorry!!

Wonderful place
We wanted to spend time on Lake Huron on my grandsons spring break. We didn’t realize Michigan’s state parks are closed until Memorial Day. The trip would have been ruined if we hadn’t found this wonderful place to stay. The beach was great, the house was perfect. The owners were exceptionally helpful. We would love to come again and stay longer.

This property was outstanding and the views can not be beat! Well stocked for whatever your needs may be. The house is right on a fabulous beach. The cabin was so comfortable and cozy and we immediately felt at home, as they knew our arrival time and had a fire going in the fireplace for our arrival. It was cold, so the extra mile Kristin and Jeff went to was so appreciated. What is the greatest thing with our stay was the hosts. They were extra accommodating and did something very, very special for us and made us feel like we were old friends, but not overbearing in the slightest. It was perfect! We mentioned in a text that we wanted to pet and play with their enormous dog Nash and here comes Jeff, with Nash to the house and let us meet him. What a sweetheart this dog is! If you are apprehensive, don't be, just book and you will be happy you did, I promise you. Thank you for everything Jeff and Kristin!

Fantastic, Relaxing Getaway
Kristin was awesome. She was highly communicative the whole time. When we arrived the place was all cozy and completely ready for us. Coffees, teas and sweeteners were well supplied. Plenty of firewood to allow us to burn fires all weekend, and we did. The bedroom on the water side was perfect for laying in bed and looking out over the water. The dining area was very comfortable with great views of the water also. We were very fortunate with sunny skies most of our stay. We were able to enjoy the east facing porch in the morning and many beautiful Port Austin sunsets on the bayside deck. The large numbers of windows facing the water ensured we always had a beautiful view of the ice and water. The cottage is very close to Port Crescent State Park Trail. It is a very nice 2 mile loop through the woods and along the shoreline. It was fun to see many small children walking with their parents and pets. We were very refreshed and look forward to staying there again. Thank you Kristin.

The place is clean and well maintained. The view of the lake is spectacular. There are a lot of thoughtful details that made it a wonderful stay - kayaks available, plenty of patio/beach furniture, basic toiletries available, tons of towels etc.... The hosts were incredibly kind and available when needed.

Cozy Beach Cottage
We really enjoyed our end of the summer getaway at this beach front cottage. We loved how it’s just steps from the beautiful beach. The home was very clean and the beds were really comfy. The property was fully stocked with everything like toiletries, toys, games, beach towels, beach chairs, firewood… everything we needed! Jeff and Kristin were wonderful. They made check in super easy and always responded quickly to any questions I had leading up to our vacation. The kids loved the floating splash pad in the lake and the kayaks. We also loved collecting rocks and coloring them with the supplies that were provided. So fun! We would definitely come back!
