Great location

Beautiful surroundings, hotel a little creaky. Food a little pricey but hotel was in a good location with parking. Lots of nearby restaurants on foot. The hotel is also fairly close to the ski lifts too, plus the outer balconies overlook the bottom section of the waterfall. If you walk around to the left side of the hotel on the main road you can reach the upper mid-section of the waterfall without needing further transportation. We had a hire car and didn’t realise that to get to the resorts, you have to use a train. The sat nav takes you to the train station then you drive the car onto the rear of the train (akin to Euro tunnel style). It’s fine but useful to be aware of this. I would recommend this hotel at any times of the year.

Als Immobilienentwickler (15 Jahre als Angestellter in einer global tĂ€tigen Projektentwicklungsgesellschaft / 10 Jahre selbstĂ€ndig im sĂŒddeutschen Raum) sehe ich eine Unterkunft immer auch mit dem Auge eines Optimierers. Bei der sog. Villa Solitude sehe ich also viel potential. Die altbackene HolzvertĂ€felung könnte man bspw. durch Marmorputz ersetzen, die AntiquitĂ€ten durch Bauhaus-Klassiker ersetzen. Die Ornamente an der Fassade ließen sich relativ einfach entfernen und so könnte dann durch einen weißen Anstrich ein bauhausartiger Bungalow entstehen ... Das FrĂŒhstĂŒck sollte aber genau so bleiben: Kein Buffet, heimische Produkte (köstlicher Schinken und davon nicht geizig), unverdĂŒnnter Orangensaft!!!

Sehr gepflegtes Haus mit nur wenigen Zimmern. Personal sehr serviceorientiert. Perfekt fĂŒr Paare ohne aber auch mit Kindern.

Best hotel stay in Europe

I spent five weeks doing a spa/hike tour around Europe and Bad Gastein was the only place where I spent a full seven nights and so glad I did! Hiking is spectacular and the spas are like none other I've seen in Europe. Zip line is literally out the door of the Villa solitude , and beautiful waterfall views below from your room and from the restaurant Terrace. The restaurant is phenomenal and I had all my meals there for the week . The most amazing breakfast is waiting for you each morning when you make your way downstairs to the beautiful dining room . The entire hotel is more like a home and the staff is so friendly you feel at home . Can't imagine staying anywhere else but villus solitude if I were to, and I will, return!

Koselig lite hotell med minner fra en svunnen tid

personlig frokost omtrent som hjemme, med ett variert og godt utvalg av mat. Rommet var stort og luftig. Stort flott bad.

Small hotel with excellent atmosphere

The hotel is an old mansion from 1832 with 9 rooms. Our room where on the top floor, spacious and elegant. Staying here felt like visiting grandma; the atmosphere of the living room and staircase probably unchanged since the house was new. Breakfast was exceptional. A table set for us at the terrace with the most fantastic view. Fresh fruit and local products, all served at the table by the lovely couple who runs the place.

Lovely pension with personal atmosphere

This charming pension lies in the former home of a count, who built it for his family in the late 19th century. We were lucky to get one of the rooms in the aisle, with windows in several directions and towards the waterfall of Bad Gastein. The atmosphere is very personal. There is a living room on the main floor, working as the lobby, with a library of DVDs that you may borrow to watch in your room. A lovely tom cat, who loves to be pet, also comes with the interior. The breakfast includes yoghurt, cereals, fruit cocktail or freshly grated apples, bread, cheese, sausage, and juice. The breakfast is served in the cellar, where the owners' wine bar and cuisine restaurant is located. Don't miss to spend at least one of your dinners here. We highly recommend this hotel and would happily return again.

Idyllinen vanha hotelli keskustassa vesiputouksen lÀhellÀ. Putouksen ÀÀni olin kova, mutta ikkuna vaimensi ÀÀnen kohtuulliseksi. Ensikosketus hÀtkÀhdytti, ihmisiÀ ei nÀkynyt, lattialla kissa söi lihavaa hiirtÀ. Etsimisen jÀlkeen henkilökunta löytyi ja huone osoittautui todella hyvÀksi. Idyllinen ullakkohuone upealla nÀköalalla. Aamupala oli katettu pöytiin valmiiksi, mutta oli riittÀvÀ ja monipuolinen. Netti toimi vain toisen kerroksen kÀytÀvÀllÀ.

Ottimo hotel al in centro

Hotel molto carino ben arredato al centro di Bad Gastein. Personale molto cortese e disponibile, ricca la prima colazione servita al tavolo senza buffet e stanze grandi e arredate in stile con una buona cura dei dettagli. Favolosa la terrazza che si affaccia sulle cascate dove Ăš possibile nel periodo estivo fare la prima colazione e la cena. Discreto anche il ristorante che perĂČ ha un menĂč molto limitato. Se avesse anche la piscina e la spa meriterebbe un punteggio piĂč alto. La posizione consente di accedere facilmente agli impianti di risalita che distano pochissimi minuti in macchina. buono anche il rapporto qualitĂ  prezzo. Consigliato.

Charmigt, rent och mysigt gÀsthus!

Gemytligt och typiskt österrikiskt charmigt. VĂ€ldigt vĂ€lhĂ„lligt gĂ€sthus. Rent och frĂ€scht! Ligger bra och centralt i Bad gastein med vattenfallet strax utanför fönstret. Hotellets restaurang har exklusiva viner och ska ha fin mat, men vi provade aldrig den. Övernattade 1 natt. Kelen huskatt!

Vi hade en lugn och trivsam vistelse pÄ Villa Solitude. Underbar atmosfÀr i ett fantastiskt hus. Trevlig personal som serverade god frukost och underbar middag. Trevligt med huskatten som strök runt benen och lÄg i fönstret i matsalen.
